So far all I've seen that works is rebooting, and I hate doing that.

Yep. Website works. Only problem is that Psinet can't connect when you log in through the website.

Maybe you have the Super Awesome version of PsiNet that works when mine doesn't, then.

Stop using SF and it will probably work.

Maybe,
But I have a trial acccount that I can get the AutoSge to work with, so have to go in through the webpage. I get psinet with that.
And this morning, the autosge hasnt worked at all, but I had psinet on two characters that I had to enter through the website
although sometimes I have had to exit and re-enter to get the psinet up...I figured that was my computer being stupid though

SGE works now
GS without Psinet is so much less cool than GS with Psinet.
Stop using SF and it will probably work.
The alternative is the wizard. Nothx.

The Simu SGE server (eaccess.play.net) goes through periods of instability from time to time. During these periods, no SGE utility (SGE, USGE, AutoSGE) will work because the server they connect to is down. Why their server goes down from time to time, I can't say.
But then, completely aside from that, the Simutronics SGE often seizes up for no reason when you start it, (more often for some players than others) and will sit, frozen, forever until you end the task.
It's really kind of dumb.
Most people that have had that problem find that the AutoSGE, which I provide, works faster and more reliably. But it DOES require your account name and password, which are only sent to Simutronics. It's available on my website at http://psinet.cjb.net.
And on the webpage issue: PsiNet WILL work from the webpage if you are using a browser that either does not support or has not enabled ActiveX. That means Mozilla, Netscape, and possibly Opera, or Internet Explorer with ActiveX disabled.

It seems like a lot of people on this forum use PSInet. What in the hell is it and what's so good about it?
<-- old and out of touch :(

PsiNet is a program written by Jamus. It has a ton of features. It keeps track of how much EXP you gain a minute, extrapolates and tells you when you'll level, has a MoveAhead feature that allows you to basically ignore the type ahead limit while moving, allows you to make macros called Aliases so you can do something like "k = kill troll" and whenever you type k and hit enter the game receives kill troll, keeps track of how long your spells/signs will last (really only reliable for when you cast your own spells), and allows you to link to a worldwide thought net that you can send to without and during RT and create your own channels on.
Now, some people don't like it because you basically have to trust Jamus to not swipe your pw and screw with your characters. He says he doesn't. Last time I was in game (before the stupid goals verb froze my computer) there were upwards of 200 people on PsiNet. Feel free to weigh the risks and benefits and draw your own conclusion.

I use FireFox, and it didn't work for me.
