I've lost track of how many Assassin Creed games have been released since the first one. Didn't 3 JUST come out? This is nuts.

Yeah 3 just came out. And it sucked.

I heard somewhere this guy is supposed to be Haytham's dad.

The ship sections were the only good part about AC3.

I don't know how they're going to tie the animus storyline into this one considering how it ended in the last game.

Standalone sentence.

I liked 3. The series has only improved on each release. I wonder why they wouldnt wait for the next gen consoles though.

The series has only improved on each release.

You really think so? I missed the architecture climbing and (semi) likable protaganists of the previous games.

I liked the change of scenery. I don't find the protagonist so unlikeable. Remember, Ezio had three games to become likable in.

I'm gonna say they use Desmond's father for this one. Would be the only thing that would make sense

I liked Assassin's Creed 3. But I never understood how the concept of "feature creep" could be a bad thing until AC3 came along.

It had its strengths, it had its weaknesses. I liked Conner, I didn't like how cliche and forced some of the dramatic elements were. I didn't like the revamped control scheme.

"Oh, I'm being chased! Run down that alley! No, wait Conner, don't climb the WALL! Okay, fine, then jump off the wall . . . crap, not onto the OTHER wall! Drop down. Drop down. No, not to the next ledge, all the way down. FINE, just climb the wall then . . . why aren't you climbing? Wait, why did you drop down NOW? Oh wait, I just got shot to death."

The last thing a free-running game needs is the functional equivalent of sticky-cover.

I understand that the ship segments were massively popular amongst the player base. I do not see how they can take this and turn it into an entire game without it getting old fast.

Got this on PC yesterday. Loving it.

Not ready to take these yet.

I did too. After the last two games, this is a breath of fresh air. The Abstergo segments are pretty dull and meta though.

You know, the time outside of the animus is boring on purpose I think... To show a difference between the excitement of being in the "game" (okay, someone's past life) and the dullness of real life(in comparison). I think it does a good job with that, and I have done a bit of hacking and sticky note finding.

Does it seem a little creepy to anyone else? I'm not sure what the implications are of a gaming company telling me I've earned their respect, but I'm sure I don't like them.

Took down my first Man-o-War to add to my fleet. Pretty awesome.

So, my new PC has a graphics card that comes with this for free...what od people think of it?

I hear the ship combat is amaze-balls.

I'm also getting Arkham Origins and Tom Clancy's SPlinter Cell. On top of replacing an AMD with an NVidia card, I feel like a complete winner.

You're wrong a lot on other issues so why should I believe you here?!!

I'm correct on every issue ever.

I find the non ship city sections pretty beige. The ship combat is sort of the Need for Speed of pirate games (not super realistic but fun) and quite enjoyable. I like the hero much better than the unpleasant AC3 guy, but the villains are hella lame (Too much Hoyt when they needed to be Vaas). Soundtrack is great and sea shanties might be some of my favorite unlocks ever.

It's not bad.

(Notably, a lot of things that should have been standard are also DLC. It's the Ubisoft way.)

Extra Credit:

It gets points for really offending PETA.

I beat it today. No spoilers, but the ending is rather sudden.

I'm sure DLC will be extending it. If you've played AC3, you know the ultimate ending though, heh.

Spoiler

.

.

I thought having Princess Zelda show up to pin the big boss with arrows of light was a little OOG. She should at least have used musket balls of light.

Actually, I guess the majority of Edward's epilogue/Haytham's prologue is told in a book. The DLC being released is apparently focused on Adelewale.

BTW that Aveline mission or whatever was really dull.

I wish I had found this sooner... this is my new crack.. and I've got my fleet built up so that I can do kenway's fleet mini game on my phone while i'm at work... send off a few ships to make trades...come back home to more money to spend in game... I'm not even 40% into the story yet but I've unlocked the top 1/4 or so of finding everything in the major cities/islands... Berserk darts are the sweetest way to complete an assassin mission... just berserk your target from the shadows and wait for his guards to kill him.... mission passed plus bonus for not getting into combat =D

Berserk darts are so OP!
