Members of the court have reported seeing the Argent Mirror spending time with Lord Caylio, and been seen smiling and giggling. Several council members have been seen frowning upon these activities, especially Lady Ardtin, who has commented about the proper duties of a leader. When asked, the young ladies of the court are aflutter with approval and have hope there will be a royal wedding in the near future.

I'm fairly curious if this was the plan all along and the information passed around that the Argent Mirror was going to marry a PC was misheard.

Well, it was a possibility apparently.. But it may have been the idea all along. I was sorta thinking it was going to be to an NPC though. I have other ideas on what might (or might not happen) regarding Myasara (ie, deposed) but we'll see.

Might be one of those situations where it had to work out for her to do it. Valyrka probably kept her options open to see if any outstanding male Elven players showed up. If none tickled her fancy, well, then she had her storyline backup as well.

FU, I am an outstanding Elven player. I do think the utter lack of interest could have been a factor concerning it though. Heck, my char is Nalfein... she had to kind of bite back the "Illistim" elf part... Because there really isn't any that are males. (I think I've seen 1 or 2 total?)

Well, you have to be an outstanding Elven player AND have just the right personality for Myasara. I'm sure Valyrka had a certain "type" in mind. Or maybe she just needed to be swept off her feet. You don't play a rogue do you? Potentially missed opportunity there!

I am a rogue actually. I don't known that they really wanted to make a PC, in essence, royalty though(Even though it would have been as a powerless consort). I mean, sure you can RP it now, but there really hasn't been much in the way of IG backing/proof.

Then go! Find her! And sweep until she can no longer be swept! Or you end up in jail.

The whole plot was a rail-ride, it was fairly obvious from the nature of the Argent Mirror's interactions.
P.S. Thanks to whoever gave me the red rep for posting this here; it was meant to just be a cross-post for discussion including what I felt was a funny picture indicating that I, myself, could not give a shit about the content of the post. It doesn't mean I'm not interested in seeing the conversation that springs out of it, so you should probably clean the sand out of your vagina and relax a bit.

I think it would have been hard to have a PC be a royal consort. Characters come and characters go and hell, people sell their characters. In the old Genie days of 20 people that played maybe, but today I think there would be far too many cries of favoritism. Can you imagine if someone then sold off the character? Heh...I can.

I think one of the coolest things ever in the game is the Argent Mirror picking a PC to be one of her handmaidens. Though that's a quite a step away from a monarch.
The original quote makes me so sad. Ever since whatever her GM face took over from Itzel, the Argent Court went from a game of intrigue and puzzles to fucking sweet valley high. What a joke.

The GM-lead roleplay in Ta'Illistim was always rather polarizing. It offered a change of pace from the typical violence, invasion, and what have you of basically everywhere else but basically didn't catch the interest of the majority of the town's inhabitants. Hopefully, they'll be able to put together storylines which keep their target audience happy. Otherwise it's a waste of an awful lot of effort.

I think V did a nice job of pulling together both. And I think Itzel was building up to invasion stuff because I know Cirath did some cool stuff in Vaalor with it. Ah well.

V was absolutely amazing. I liked Itzel too, but she leaned more towards the social aspect than the intrigue.

Valyrka was mentioning invasions coming soon. The town defenses had to be fixed for them or whatever.
