When 619 is casted, can you view the warding equations, or not?

There is no warding on 619.

So, can a level 19 ranger calm a level 100 critter? If not, then there is a warding, it's just hidden.

But thanks, no equations are shown.

It could be level based, in which case there is no warding.

An experienced ranger is adept in all forms of animal empathy. With this spell, the ranger takes the right non-threatening actions, says the correct soothing words, and makes calming gestures in order to sedate all creatures in the room. Although this spell has a short duration, it is very difficult to ward against.

Hidden warding alert.

:yeahthat:

That's why I asked. SIMU says it wards, but I don't have a ranger that with enough trains to see if it was hidden or not.

You make a simple motion, quietly invoking the Mass Calm spell...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture.
A calm washes over a kobold.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
(Forcing stance down to guarded)

It's hidden!

I use this spell on critters 20 levels above me all the time and it rarely fails, I'd say it fails on like level 0.5% of the time, it's very very rare.

I love mass calm.

I can calm stuff up in Pinefar like saber-tooths and such at 47 trains no problem. Glacei are uneffected, and alot of stuff simply shakes off stuns.

You would have to spell up a critter with some spells to bolster the TD and keep trying it. I don't think it makes a difference as I believe it's level based.

My ranger doesn't have any lesser spirit spells yet.. but if someone wants to come up to Icemule to experiment with me.. I'll cast it out.

Im actually in icemule right now if you want to figure it out PB. I dont believe that its a warding roll so much as a failure percent. In Teras I was hunting wind wraiths(i was 45 at the time and they are 63) and I would estimate that the spell hit for a calm 90% of the time on critters. I say there is no ward involved because with age come higher defenses. If wraiths are nearly 20 trains over my head then there should be no way for me to ward them unless there is a new type of CS that nobody knows of that is near impossible to defend. If this were true then I would assume that it works the same on spells such as sunburst(609) and call swarm(615), however they are both age based spells. Ill stop rambling now.

You guys realize that warding is level based as well, right? All attacks in GS have some sort of equation, all I wanted to know is if mass calm's was visible.

why bother repost it then. We had answered your question then moved onto a sidetopic. You actually created the sidetopic, your post was:

Um, I didn't repost my question.... Read what I posted. Did I ask a question? No.

I was making a small point on the side topic.

And yes, I know I created the side topic. It was in responce to the first answer I got.
