Is it possible to get info from a running script?

Is there a way to query a running script for info?

Such as a running rank counter for fletching; a way to check what rank you are on now, without killing the ranking script.

Can't you just type art? If its a loch script that should be fine. If its SF or Wiz I could see your hesitation worrying about the script hanging.
