If so, can you give me your stats and training specifications? I'm sick of this low CS.

(also I'm just curious if there's a way to be a claidh-wielding sorcerer and if it's worth it)

theres a way to do it...but yer gonna suck...

a claid wizard would be a different story...with haste and strength...

I heard something like CS is the ratio of your spells to your level. But if yer level 50...and you have 55 in yer sorc circle...you only get +1 CS for each rank above yer train...

But lets say you were 50 and had 40 ranks in sorc circle...every train in sorc circle gives you +3 cs...up until you reach 50.

Also, I think minor elem and minor spirit cirlces give your sorc CS +1 for each train in them...

I'm not 100% sure about all this...but it seems to hold true.

Tripling's not worth the points anymore.

I'm going to have to go ahead and drop a completely huge WTF are you talking about. The ratio you're referring to is that you can get ranks/3 up to 2/3rd your level in your other spheres before it becomes ranks/9 for those over, and you only get .5 CS per rank over your level in the primary circle.

Nope, don't bother tripling. Aim for 2.75x if you can, and maximize your lists. (overtrain base list by 10, 2/3 for the other 2)

Also, claid + sorc < claid + mage < wet noodle + warrior.

Yeah..a claidh sorc would be too good to be true. Especially with my dark elf with a base strength of 63.

The cost for training in two handed weapons is the same as the cost of OHE + shield. I guess it'd be doable if you didn't mind having a crappy bolt DS (cause there's no way you could afford shield too)

runestaff sorc > claid sorc

just try to keep sorc circle at level and the other two at around 2/3 your level, isn't too hard to do, and seems to me the best for your CS

This is not entirely correct:

Here is the closest formula we have for calculating CS.

Taken from Salt... something from the Official Sorcerer boards:

CS = (level x 3) + primary spell circle bonus + secondary spell circle 1 + secondary spell circle 2 + stat bonus

Primary spell circle bonus: (round normally)
Ranks up to level: 1CS/rank
Ranks 1-20 above level: .75CS/rank
Ranks 21-60 above level: .5CS/rank
Ranks 61-100 above level: .25CS/rank
Ranks 101 -? above level: .125CS/rank

Secondary circle bonuses: (always rounds up...this is the most common place where people mess up)
Ranks up to 2/3 level: .33333CS/rank
Ranks above 2/3 level: .111111CS/rank

The calculation of 2/3 level also rounds up.

Stat bonus:
AU for elemental casters
WI for spiritual casters
(AU+WI)/2 for sorcerers (round up)

Edited: For a sorcerer's MnS and MnE circle CS, the bonuses from the opposite circles are not added into the equation.

Well I wasn't going to go into the full thing about it given the simplicity of the question at hand, and the large amount of strange wrongness answered by someone. I was aware of the diminishing returns, just didn't figure these people would give a rat's ass.

Heh, yeah, I was sure you knew the formula(I recall you posting it on 4th demension). But I figured that wrongness should be completely corrected to the best of our knowledge, even if no one gives a rat's ass.
