I have a run scheduled for Sunday 2/17 at 11am. My basic plan is to place all but one of the artifacts and then hunt undead for a while before placing the last item. If you're interested in joining me let me know. A second group of a different age group would be fine I suppose, but we would need to split up so you don't get beat down constantly.

p.s. If any of you happen to remember what goes where and wouldn't mind sharing it with me, I'd appreciate a PM. I didn't really pay much attention the other times I went.

im interested in this as well, but my character is only 50. If I can get some more for another group around that age we could do a sub group.

Anyone care to give a explanation of the event over all? I read the Simu page but it wasn't technically specific on what you get out of the event.

All I could find was this. http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?72562-A-Night-at-the-Academy&p=1429109#post1429109

Here's a sneak-peek short blurb about the first ten available prizes up for choosing:

a shimmering blue orb - This magical orb will grant you the insight to learn more from your experiences. Make sure you don't rub it unless you actually have some experiences to ponder - that'd just be a waste!

a midnight blue mithglin tower shield - This shield has the ability to hold a weapon, and is five times enchanted!

a raven black spidersilk skirt - This has a large number of customized actions involving a series of bells along its hem!

a dark obsidian runestone - This is a tossable runestone with various imbedded symbols. Fun for gambling!

a plaid pleated kilt - This has a large number of customized actions that are appropriate for such a lovely garment.

a long antique brass spyglass - This allows you to peer multiple areas away, if you have a straight shot. Good for seeing the creatures coming!

a polished blued steel pendant - This item helps you out with your polearm skills, as well as making you stronger and more agile!

a polished white ora medallion - This item helps you recover your spiritual energy more quickly.

a pair of scuffed leather boots - This fine footgear will help you stalk in the wilderness, as well as survive in the wilderness. They also help you be more agile and have more stamina.

a pale green leather hat - This fashionable item will allow you to be an excellent marksman!

Ah interesting. Anyone have more specifics on the ora medallion and the experience orb?

Also, could you use a 100 empath Everan?

Basically, you run around in a somewhat changing maze trying to find items that will need to be placed in certain containers. While you are searching, hordes of undead appear and try to kill you. If you place an item in the wrong container, there's a chance you will be killed or at the very least stunned. If you successfully place all 10 items within the 3 hours allotted, everyone wins their choice of one of the prizes. During the search, the creatures tend to drop nicer objects than on average from a normal hunt. I think the items and the clues as to what goes where may have something to do with Hunt for History, but because that happened during one of my down times, I don't really know.

The bonuses on the enhancives are gigantic, but they only have a few charges, and aren't rechargeable.

'Quite a few charges' can last quite a while I think.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure they have "a few" not "quite a few". I can double check when I get home. I believe it's quite literally 3 charges. I have the rolaren band, and my memory is that it adds something like 25 stamina, plus a big recovery number.

sounds like the best reward is the RPA?

It may be only a few charges, but I thought some of the enhancives were great prizes. The trick though is to finish. Also loot.

I took the boots the last time because my agility is low, they are +20 stalking & hiding, +20 survival, +10 agility, +15 stamina recovery

I think they lasted a few months, but I didn't track them closely enough to see when they wore off.

Have done this a couple of times and the real prizes tend to be stuff the undead drop. Not necessarily in boxes but if they drop weapon, armor or shields. You may see just some leathers but they may be enchanted, padded or enhancive. We found some pretty nice stuff. You might want to familiarize yourself with the list ahead of time of KP and you will do best with at least one empath and you will probably need a cleric. I also would not take any weapon that you would cry if you lost. Some of the creatures are pretty mean and the swarms can get nasty.
