Wonder if anyone around will recognize the name. Thorin first set foot in Wehnimer's Landing a looong time ago. Like 1995. Back when AOL had hourly charges.

It says something for Gemstone that it's STILL running, even after all of this.

I have other MMO addictions, so Thorin may just be passing through for a few months. If I somehow become instantly wealthy, maybe I'll try Plat.

Yeah, so, what's changed in the last ten years? I haven't been around for more than a week or so since the Red Rot. (Was that really 2003? Time sure flies...)

A lot has changed in the last 10 years. Monks have been released. Voln has been redone. A new organization, Sunfist, was released. An adventure guild was released as well, offering missions and bounties. Tons of other little changes as well.

Also, there's now a gemstone "shattered" instance, where there are no GMs and no rules. No more worrying about them looking over your shoulder as you script while afk, you can now run afk hunting scripts overnite all you want.

Oh? Huh. I dunno, I always got along well with the GMs. And I hate PvP. Probably not for me. To each their own, though. :D

You've probably read The Hobbit or seen the movie at least.

I feel you should point out that monks got released like three weeks ago.
