Well, I'm going to miss this place. In a little over a week, I'm out of Japan, and back to the land of fat people with nice teeth.
I've been trying to figure out what the two years here have meant.
I think it won't make any sense until I get back home...
Oh that's right... my dad moved this week, and I'm homeless.
Sweet.
So, so you can get an idea of the oddities that I've endured, you get a link.

These are magazine articles that are a bit exaggerated... they are NOT news stories, but features. They still do a wonderful job of highlighting the stranger parts of Japan.
Enjoy. There are a bunch more articles on the side, too.

I swear man, If you bring any "pet" habits back, I'll correct them in 10 minutes with a base ball bat.
Who in the fuck let's a dog hump their leg until it spooges?

From Longshot's Article
We were talking about breeding him and wanted him to have some practice. I formed a circle with my thumb and index finger and let him rub up against that. We did the breeding in a park and it went perfectly, which I suppose was the result of all the practice we'd given him.
UGH.

I shouldn't be shocked really. I mean, look at some of the other articles in that paper.
The titles alone had me rolling.
Tamao Sato busts into bigtime -- despite her knockers
Nature-loving Kyoko chooses flap happy butterfly over bald beaver
Pervy professor's upskirt inspections expose cracks in pillar of society
Pink Lady's treasure chest raided
Ripe-figured Kyoka appears ready to bare fruit

Why's that? We could call it a present and I could give you the money under the table. What's illegal about that?

Gross.
Anyway, hope your trip back home is safe, Longshot.

You should get this book: Dave Berry Does Japan when you get back. The parts about baseball and Hiroshima especially, but I don't think you're allowed to buy only the particularly relevant portions of books, and it was written like 10-20 years ago (aka the Wezas/Weedmage/Mesozoic era).

You'll get by that feeling, Longshot. Please believe me. I've been where you are, and I know how it feels. However, over time the alien feeling will pass. :)
