Ambush aid in Edged AS?

Am I wrong in thinking that using orbs with Ambush Bonus will aid my AS when attacking with an edged weapon?

Yes, you are wrong. It helps to aim attacks, but does nothing for melee AS.

+12 Strength Bonus

Edge bonus will depend on your level of training.

Strength Bonus should net you AS to match the number if I remember right. I know there are other dedicated number crunchers out there who will readily correct me if I'm off

If you're talking about edged and strength bonus (and not edged ranks and strength stat) then every point you get from these bonuses will add one to your edged AS.

+28 for that combination (if you already have 40 ranks in edged and you *do* mean strength *bonus* not strength *stat*)

Ambush won't help your AS, but it does help your attack. When ambushing from hiding, a better ambush skill means a better DS pushdown on critters, a higher crit rank when you hit, and better aim. That said, the higher AS will help more if you are already going 2x ambush.
