Anyone else pick this game up today? If so, what system? I've mine installing for the PC right now. I'll be looking for a Co-op partner once I beat it by my lonesome. Reviews have been, "eh." 7.8-7.9's so far. I'm not too worried, though, as i'm a bit of a Dead Space junkie.

I've never been too interested in the series based on the first and second one's plot.

I'll be waiting for the $5 special. It's a straight console port from what I've heard with no extra bells and whistles for the PC version. Lazy developers I say.

It actually has a lot of customizable features. Check out the short video in this link to see the customizable options.

Oh man, I have to finish the second one. I refused to change to the difficulty level in Dead Space 2, and I only had like half a round of laser cutter ammo. And I was trying to curbstomp some gigantic fucking nemesis monster. I reloaded about 50 billion times, then I got clinically effing depressed because I refused to load a previous save or change the difficulty to normal or easy. Argh, I think 3 is going to be here today or tomorrow. Shoot.

That's about it for Stanley Burrell's stellar insights.

It's pretty good so far. I'm playing it on the PC on hard difficulty right now. I did just get to some stupid electrical engineering interface puzzle that made me save and quit so I could do some googling on how to get around it.

Relax, dude. I had a conversation with future Stan and he assured me that he (you) did indeed eventually beat DS2.

Oh damn, those fucking regenerators. I had forgotten about them. I might have to wuss out and go back to normal difficulty.

I'm liking this game. What weapons are people using? I'm using one of the DLC plasma cutters from playing DS2 without modifying the bottom because you cannot seem to put a new rotary cuff on the lower attachment once you remove it.

For my other gun i've chosen the Evangelizor Shotgun and the Negotiator line gun, though i'm not sold on that choice. Nothing touches the stopping power of a shotgun up close and personal. The line gun is decent for crowds, but I may switch it out for something I can snipe with or a decent CC weapon.

Yeah, the devs said something like 'why should PC gamers get special treatment', and 'people expect microtransactions in their games now, it would be wrong not to have them'.

No plans on picking it up.

Apparently there is a glitch that lets you bypass the need for buying resources via microtransactions.

Anybody know how to drop the damn scavenger bot?

Edit: Nevermind, I overcame my momentary retardation

I was surprised at how easy the final boss fight was, compared to the difficulty I had with the one in Dead Space 2. Pretty good game though. Not sure if I'll play it thru again.

Had to stop playing for a time. School sucks.

Right now I'm using a fully auto harpoon gun with a clip size of 130 rounds, with a secondary shotgun attachment.

Also, I broke the game. Something about the massive clip size is making it so that the harpoon gun attachment is not taking ammo on reloads. It might be slightly related to the fact that a 20 stack of ammo counts for over 700 rounds on the gun.
