You said you are looking forward to riding an elephant at the RF. By a stretch of logic, that means you ride ponies, too, and we all know that nobody who rides ponies and elephants is dangerous.

is this before, or after you gut it, and roll around in its guts and blood?

No wonder I love my job so much.
Incidentally, I'm also putting together a bid on a three million dollar lab supply contract for the rebuilding of Iraq. It seems I've been 'promoted' (unofficially at least) to dealing with all the forensics and criminology-related bids and equipment we sell. This will be the final bid we make on this proposal, and it looks as though we are going to win it.
Congrats to me. When I recieve the official promotion, I'll be jet-setting a lot, doing conferences... taking classes that my employer will pay for... good stuff. :)
Congrats! Maybe you'll get more trips to sushi bars too. :socool:

These are of Hoodeenee (No, I didn't name them.) He's the older of the two, and the sweetest. A lap ferret.
::edited because she actually put the pictures up so my comment is no longer funny::

I sell all of them, but I specialize in law enforcement and forensic science.
Sounds interesting. I like watching CSI and Forensic Files...shows like that. I don't think I'd want to go to a sushi bar with you and talk about dead things though. But then again...I have watched CSI while eating dinner. :P

...oh yeah...cute ferrets. I wish I could get one but they are illegal in California :(
One time I went to a pet store in Vegas and picked a baby ferret up and it started gnawing on my finger...so cute! I was sad I couldn't take it home.
One thing I can't figure out is why the fuck they sell ferret accessories at the pet stores here, but ferrets are illegal to own as pets. :?:

That's a fucked up job. Have you missed alot of work? There should be some kind of labor laws or company bylaws against those type of threats.

:wtf: Didn't they also dock your pay for those 3 days even though your salary?? And, yeah, what Wezas said...don't they have labor laws preventing them from doing that?
If you're in pain you need to see a doctor and if your boss fires you, you should sue the company for wrongful termination.

Yeah, WTF kind of company fires you over missing work due to an accident causing you injury? What kind of asshattery is that??
You need a doctor, hon. Get yourself checked out, and like Kym said, if they fire you for it, sue them!

Especially when you were running an errand for said boss. :flamed:
Beth, I hope you feel better soon and that your injuries don't turn into something serious further down the line. IF they do...SUE! Also, sorry to hear about the accident. Don't people in your area know how to fucking drive?!?!?!
Edited to add I'm really not one of those "sue happy" people. I just think you're getting screwed by your company.

Don't want to bump an old thread but all the "they can't do that to you" folks are right. The Federal Family and Medical Leave act says your boss can't threaten you with termination if you're too injured to work.
