Ok, I will try to dignify this non-serious issue with a serious response. This is my last post on this thread. I want to thank Kranar/Anticor for letting me use the board for sales btw.

If we're getting into merchant ethics, the question becomes "is it allowed for a merchant to pull a sale or stop an auction and why?"

What occurred:
Sile is looking for a high end lance. He came across this one and made an honest bid after speaking to me. Immediately I went into the thread and realized the item was placed too low for my liking. (a MB of 25m vs 30m) I immediately posted ending the auction the same day and advised Sile of the new BO price.

My excuses for what happened:

1. Item was priced at 25m, I wanted to change the MB to 30m before possibly selling this item again (and I thought that was the MB I had listed)
2. This thread is placed in the incorrect spot in the forum. Notice it's not listed under auctions or high end. I wanted to have it moved before resuming trading.
3. CCF is coming and this item could POSSIBLY be enchanted by the "high-end enchanting" portion of the festival. A win there could have this item at 6x.
4. I recently fixskilled my bard to use pole-arms, and I have been using this weapon as a primary.
5. I was selling this item as part of a $4000+ downsizing that I did over the past year in order to generate funds to pay for my wife's pharmacy school. I had invested this $ into the game and I was able to extract it just in time for a January 14th payment. We made it. Yay.

Sile, I officially apologize for what occured. I made a mistake by telling you "I would honor the thread" when I hadn't checked it. My bad bro.

Now I have a few questions for you all.

1. The cavalier use of the word "scammer" by reputable sellers on this board.. Is this appropriate? Shouldn't we obtain proof and screenshots and list all of the scammers in 1 area to benefit everyone?
2. When posters come here that don't know item prices, and someone sends them a lowball offer and gets their item for WAY less than it's worth, is that appropriate? Shouldn't we have a system to funnel these people into that would give them a fair assessment of item worth?
3. Can we have a set third party system implemented to ensure safe transactions? (like using Ardwen or Buckwheet, etc)

I mean, I care about GS and this board and I think we should address real issues involving scammers.
