From what I remember you can't get it lightened but the weight is base for whatever sub-group of rigid leather armor you currently have it set to. Think it also is not player enchantable, or maybe it's just really difficult. It's PP and maybe merchant enchantable though. Someone who knows can chime in maybe. Also has 17 different looks you can change it to.

This armor is player enchantable and I believe it has one weight for any ASG...that's the way mine works.

Nope, the weight changes as you change the ASG, i'm sure of that. As far as player enchantable, I didn't try it but I remember the merchant said it would be difficult.
