Definitely some good and bad qualities of the system. I'm mildly satisfied. This thread will be the host of my map of the Landing district with everyone's shop when it's completed.

I wonder if Falgrin's Lightening Services would work...

How much is it to open a shop?

Is there any way to tell what's been sold? Something sold for 500k last night and it's driving me nuts trying to figure out what it was.

I don't think so.

Inventory prior vs inventory after. Whatever the missing item is.. is what was sold.

By the way, you are most welcome. :)

<<How much is it to open a shop?>>

100k for a one room shop (150 for 2 room 200 for 3 room if you're premium). 10k/month. 3% tax on all items sold. 25 items/room.

Where do you go to get permits?

Numbers
07-26-2004, 03:10 PM
You get permits in the warehouse just before all the shops. On Bob's map, that'll be the C room in the lower left.

Go inside, go west, talk to the NPC.

Pretty sure you need to be a full citizen in whatever town you want to purchase a shop. And I think you need to be premium in order to have more than one room.

Artha
07-26-2004, 03:28 PM
Mine's in room 31, the wooden building.

Edit: The warehouse is also where you get furniture and stuff, go east instead of west. In the room in the southwest corner, there're stairs that you go up. And as a standard account, I only had the option for a 1 room shop.

The Underground is located at the end of Ebonway for all your small needs. We will be selling:

Crystal amulets
Wands
Blue/White and Black crystals
Diamonds and emeralds
Box found jewelry
Box found trinkets

Make sure you stop by... and remember our motto!

"Our stuff was your stuff!"

Shops and the Underground:

So I claimed a shop at the end of Ebonwood Way. Seemed like a good spot for thieves. I plan on using it as a front for our plans, once lockable doors are implemented for the shops.

Yes it is. I asked Josh about it on the Simu boards folder. He thought it was a good idea to have the option to use one of your shop rooms as a private office.

I asked Mitra about it on the boards this morning. She said it's on the list to get done, but they wanted to just get the basics out and the shops up and running ASAP.

So it's not going to happen for basic members. Premium = sucks.

What with all these improvements to the Landing NPC's, they could implement a secretary in said office to really speed up the dough process. Spiffy :D

I figure as I get better at my own lightening services, there will be more magical/trinket items to offer for sale.

[East Row, Ebonwood Way]
Passing beyond a tall brick brewery to the northwest, a heavy shadow casts the area in a neutral light. A row of scraggly new ebonwood trees line the pathway heading east, while a broad fel tree marks the road to the north. You also see a rose-covered dark stone boutique with a dark-stained shingle roof, a quaint red-brick building with a sturdy cross-gabled roof, a charming white granite shop with a gabled roof, an ivy-covered grey stone building with a mosaic tiled roof and an iron-worked brownstone store.
Obvious paths: north, east, west
[Script]>n
[East Row, Fel Road]
A squat fel tree stands at the southwest corner of the intersection. Twin rows of small white stones mark the passage east. You also see a simple shop, a moss-draped fieldstone shop with a dark-stained shingle roof, a simple shop, a rose-covered dark stone boutique with a sloped mosaic tiled roof and an ivy-covered grey stone building with a sturdy cross-gabled roof.
Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Modwir Way]
A pair of modwirs stand sentinel for the roadway heading east. A cooing morning dove lends a rhythmic pace to the surroundings, causing merchant and townsfolk alike to walk slowly along the dusty paths in measured time. You also see a regal black wolf, a rose-covered dark stone boutique with an etched copper roof, an iron-worked brownstone store with a sturdy cross-gabled roof, a moss-draped fieldstone shop with a dark-stained shingle roof, a moss-draped fieldstone shop and a large brick-faced store.

Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Monir Road]
A pair of monir line the road, one to the west and the other to the southeast. Some holly bushes are visible to the north, though they seem scraggly even from here. The way east is wide and paved with cobblestones, a drastic improvement in comparison to the other roads of the area. You also see a simple shop, a moss-draped fieldstone shop with a sturdy cross-gabled roof, an elegant speckled marble boutique with a sturdy gambrel roof, a simple shop and an ivy-covered grey stone building with a dark-stained shingle roof.
Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Holly Road]
A massive monir tree to the southwest blocks any major construction of large shops, though some smaller ones managed to squeeze in. The intersection is haphazardly lined with holly bushes, whose rich green leaves lack fruit and flower adornment. You also see an elegant speckled marble boutique with a mosaic tiled roof, a modest wood-trimmed building, a modest wood-trimmed building with an etched copper roof, an elegant speckled marble boutique with a tiled cone roof and a large brick-faced store with a sturdy cross-gabled roof.
Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Spinewood Way]
Despite the road's namesake, there isn't a single growth of spinewood to be seen. Instead, the roadway is lined by hulking monir barrels filled with miniature stylized spinewood trees, complete with artificial pale pink flowers. You also see a simple shop, an ivy-covered grey stone building with a sturdy cross-gabled roof and a charming white granite shop with a mosaic tiled roof.
Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Tanik Road]
Newly planted tanik trees line the row, while a thick stand of pines grow to the north. The road is part rubble and dirt here, stretching eastward toward the town's protective wall. You also see a simple shop, a large brick-faced store, a modest wood-trimmed building and a simple shop with a tiled cone roof.
Obvious paths: north, east, south
[Script]>n
[East Row, Pine Point]
The backside of cottages on the rocky cliffs of Bay's Watch neighborhood is barely visible beyond the dense stand of aged pine trees to the north. There are mere clumps of grass to the side of the dirt and rock-strewn road. You also see an iron-worked brownstone store with an etched copper roof, an ivy-covered grey stone building with a dark-stained shingle roof, a modest wood-trimmed building, a charming white granite shop and an iron-worked brownstone store.
Obvious paths: east, south
[Script]>e
[East Row, Pine Point]
The road dips down here, following the natural curvature of the land. As a result, the pines growing in the area are tilted somewhat askew. You also see a quaint red-brick building.
Obvious paths: east, west
[Script]>e
[East Row, Pine Point]
Beyond the shops to the south, newly planted tanik trees mingle with a well-established growth of old pines. The rocky roadway goes on, though to the west, it dips down slightly. You also see a charming white granite shop with a dark-stained shingle roof.
Obvious paths: east, west
[Script]>e
[East Row, Pine Point]
The aged pines to the north do little to inhibit the sea's salty breeze from wafting over the area. The ground here is rough and the roadway is littered with broken bits of red and blue-grey rock. You also see a simple shop, a simple shop with a gabled roof, a moss-draped fieldstone shop and a modest wood-trimmed building with a mosaic tiled roof.
Obvious paths: east, south, west
[Script]>e
[East Row, Pine Point]
The lazy sound of the distant bay echoes against the backdrop of the simple plank shops along the road. You also see a modest wood-trimmed building, a simple shop, a large brick-faced store with a sturdy cross-gabled roof, a simple shop with a dark-stained shingle roof and a dappled celadon marble boutique with a sturdy gambrel roof.

Only small ones. No ceilings/roofs/floors/walls.

Yes.

But it can only be non-construction-type items. So only the signs and the floor and wall decorations.

That being said...I so need a fountain now.

You know, you could go to Icemule or Solhaven and get stuff, too. No need to go to EN.

Can Icemule shops have more than 1 decoration? From the list it seems you can only choose one, whereas other towns you can have 2 in.

There IceMule list is both floor and wall decorations.

edit: The longsword is the last wall decoration.

[East Row, Modwir Way]
High above, the clumpy foliage of scarcely planted modwirs only
partially blots out view of the sky. Heading east and west, the roadway is
marked by a curb of plain cobblestone. You also see a modest wood-trimmed
building.
Obvious paths: east, west

Buy shit from my shop, I have forging metals, orb gems, weapons, armor, and other stuff

That is all

Oh and the red lines indicate that you must climb steps.

I wonder how Simu will handle shops that default on rent and get reposessed?

:D

>get bow
Looking closely at the elemental bow, you see that it will cost 400000000 coins.
You'll have to buy it if you want it.

Looking closely at the pink plastic dildo, you see that it will cost 700000000 coins.

Looks like some people are using their shops more as lockers.

Shame that armor actually exists, though.

more of using it to display all those items they have been holding onto and are too damn scared to use or have no skills to use them

A ruby-eyed grinning skull hangs on one of the varnished ebonwood walls, and an ebonwood beam ceiling rises overhead. A scaled model of Hearthstone sits in one corner of the black marble floor. There is a glass-topped mistwood counter on one side of the shop and a vine-carved mahogany table on the other. You also see a large sign.
Obvious exits: out
>buy cat
You pay the merchant with your note and receive a dead cat in return.
>
>put note in my cloak
>
You put a Wehnimer's promissory note in your linen empath's cloak.

>open cage
You open a twisted steel cage.

>look in cage
In the steel cage you see a [b]dead skunk, a dead turtle, a dead fiery blue betta and a dead raven.
>
>put cat in cage
You put a dead cat in your steel cage.

>close cage
You close a twisted steel cage.
>

Good doing business with you.

Also amusing:

[quote]
[East Row, Pine Point]
The road dips down here, following the natural curvature of the land. As a result, the pines growing in the area are tilted somewhat askew. You also see a quaint red-brick building, a rose-covered dark stone boutique with a gabled roof, an ivy-covered grey stone building, a rose-covered dark stone boutique and an elegant speckled marble boutique with a mosaic tiled roof.
Obvious paths: east, west
>go other boutique
