Along the maul's haft, scales have been carved with remarkable precision, beginning at the mithril cap at the base. At midlength, ebon suede sheaths the haft, incised with matching scales. Above, two golden claws are inset into the wood, biting in as the head rises from the shaft, finely sculpted. The crown of the maul bears a spined crest that tapers down to eye-ridges, and beneath, red firestones serve as eyes in the dragon's head that emerges, its long snout ending as the blunt end of the head. You notice Talman's crafting mark.
You can tell that the maul is as light as it can get.
You carefully examine the ebony mithril maul and determine that the weight is about 4 pounds.
