Keep getting 10 day trial offers for Pandaria from Blizzard, so I decided to check it out.

Problem is I have no idea at all what's new in Pandaria, or really much of anything from a few months after Cataclysm came out.

Anyone feel like giving me a brief rundown? I know they totally redid talents again but in a really huge way. That's pretty much all I know, minus the details.

When did you leave?

- you choose a talent every 15 levels, but the issues of cookie cutter builds and useless/OP talents are still here
- monks
- pokemon/pet battles
- cross-realm zones (you share non-Pandaria quest areas with other servers)
- daily quests give valor points, but heroic dungeons/raids only give max valor one run a day
- account wide achievements/mounts/titles/pets (some are restricted)
- pandas

I left a few months after Cataclysm came out. Hit 85, realized PvP still sucked then quit.

Talents are (for the most part) personal choice now. There are very few that are more powerful than the others overall. Obviously you'll want certain ones for certain situations, but in general it's pick what you like. I know very little about whether pvp is any good right now, but I've heard an awful lot of bitching about warriors and hunters in arena. Pandaria in general has gotten a lot better with giving you options for what you want to do to get better stuff in terms of pve - dailies, dungeons, and raids will all give you valor. If you don't like one of those, just don't do it. You still have plenty of other options.

Also, pandaren males do the "Every Day I'm Shufflin" thing when they /dance.

Blizzard is getting a push... I just cancelled my account again. I am just bored with the game again...

PvP if you're not paying attention to use your defensive cooldowns when the other guy uses his offensive cooldowns you can get smoked in 3-4 globals. You have to pay attention.

Overall I'm enjoying the xpack.

Any significant changes during Cataclysm I should know about? All I know of is the new group finder system that is supposed to be way better than the old group finder system. Anything special to know about it? Or just queue up and wait like before?

Also any addons you can recommend would be great. I can't remember the names of any of my old addons. I main a mage if it matters.

Queue and kill. Probably won't have to wait too long.

I use a bunch of mods and without any idea what you're looking for, I'm not going to go into a bunch. I used a hacked up, buggy version of Ellipsis after DotTimer failed for LK and the little I did during Cata, but I think it finally bottomed out for Mists. In my search for a replacement, I found Raven, which is easily my new favorite. It does what DotTimer and any number of other mods (Tell Me When is another popular one) do/did and more; it's extremely customizable for tracking all sorts of CDs and spell timers. And just a quick list of some others:

bagnon - bags/bank/gbank
pitbull - unit frames
quartz - cast bars
sct/sctd - combat text
prat - chat mod
altoholic - track alts and all sorts of things related to your characters
bartender - bar mod

Bartender that was it. And quartz. And Bagnon. And sct.

Thanks.
