a cloudy crystallized fossil

This is a 5x a day self recharger that roughly recharges once every 4.8 hours if I interpreted 405 correctly.

casts 1214, Brace.

Type: Defense

Thick plates of bone grow from the caster's forearms. If not using a shield or weapon, these plates grant the chance to parry melee and ranged attacks. Melee strikes that hit the caster's arms (or a weaponless parry) have a chance to disarm the attacker. The chance to disarm is 25% + 2% per seed 3 summation of Mental Lore, Transformation.

You gesture at a cloudy crystallized fossil.
You sense that the fossil is a magic item that contains an unknown spell with a total of 5 charges when fully charged. It recharges a single use roughly every 288 minutes.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

MB:21 million

Listing this for my brother and reserve the right to pull this item if he decides he wants to use it, seeing as how I sold his shield, open handed casting ftw.

If you're using a bow, does that technically make your right hand free, as in unarmed? I don't think it does does it. It's a THW.

Uhm, I believe you have to be completely unarmed as in UAC or open handed casting. I heard tell of a bow user being swung at 40 plus times and nothing so there is that. Haven't tested it myself.

If you're a ranged user and you're holding a bow, you get DS based upon your ranged weapons training (I've never thought of this until now but... I wonder if you get DS with any THW in your left hand as a ranged user?). From what I understand, brawling training won't provide additional DS with an empty right hand (nor OHE training while holding an arrow in the right hand). So I'd agree that this probably wouldn't work with ranged but I might give it a test here this evening if I can find a scroll or something.

If parry mastery works with brawling, this would be nuts for a TWC warrior.

Yea definitely a cool spell. I'd like to see it in action more. I think I left it on my brother though and his account is now inactive. So, this is effectively off the market.
