The man.
You know where you can stick it, France.

Am I the only person who fails to get excited over this particular sport?
Don't get me wrong, I love bike riding as in...I'll get on a bike and ride but...to watch it on TV?
I suppose it beats being a Mets fan, though ::hides::

Cycling gets more and more exciting as you learn about it. The tactics used for attack and defense, the treaties that sometimes take place, are broken, and shouted about, personal vendettas and rivalries, all make the tour very exciting. People bitch about the Vuelta and the Giro not getting enough attention, but there just isnt the appeal of the grand tour, and this is coming from someone who loves watching all the races. This years tour was a little different. Since nothing really happened in the first week and a half or so, it was easy to understand why there has been some complaining about it, but the final week and a half more than made up for what appeared to be a weak start. I was actually happy the mountains were saved til later, it gave the world a chance to see some new faces, instead of just postal and telekom.

5 games back, Weedie. :( Here's hoping Piazza comes back hard off the DL, Stanton gets traded to the Yanks, and the new reliever we got stays up to snuff.

I wonder if he is going to stop while he's the ranking ass kicker. It would suck to do it again and loose after winning year after year. Leave the Tour the reigning champ and don't look back.

You know where you can stick it, France. I agree. This man is amazing. I heard he isn't going to compete at next years event.
Coming home to Sheryl Crow every night would certainly inspire me towards great physical acts.

Thank god someone else said it!
Who really gives a shit? I mean seriously...
If lance was from Canada, we would never have to hear about it.
It reminds me of the Womens World Cup Soccer team that won. We had to watch that Mia Hamm and Michael Jordan commercial 800 times a day.
Who cares??
Not me.
Not only that, but you go impotent if you ride a bike that much. Cherly's going to need a pump soon...
Personally, I've never watched a bike race or held the slighest interest in the sport. Despite that, Lance gets props on being an awesome athelete and competitor.
One of the few sports where I'm sure those competing could care less if someone is watching them on television or not.

Also, I wouldn't mind too much if Sheryl had to look elsewhere for male companionship.

How can you deny basketball, Latrin?
The game is much more interesting spectator wise than bicycle racing is. Wow....Lance went up a big hill....wow....he's peddling faster, oh...oh...he's slowing down! There's a lot more to actually "watch" in basketball.
I'm not trying to take away from the physical aspect of the sport...as anyone who's ever rode a bike before can tell you, it can easily be physically demanding. But I'm talking about the spectator aspect. It's no where as electric as basketball can be.

The NBA is rigged.
Raise the rim five or six feet then it might be interesting.
Armstrongs accomplishments are easily in the ranks of Jordan's dynasty or anyone elses for that matter.
That and how would you like to be the fella who is his only "competitor", Lars Ulrich or something... that might be the drummer for Metallica though
I heard some of the frogs were boo-ing him at the finish line. Bah. The fact that this man had nut cancer, and came back to win tours, makes me applaud his efforts and almost the sport, too.

The reason I probably give more props to Lance than 'Melo, given that I don't watch either, is that I'm a runner, and therefore appreciate the "boring" racing sports more.
Also, what EB said.
