UAC and training TWC? Getting a Defense Bonus with an off left hand?

So I have a monk that is usually fighting while holding a UAC compliant weapon in his right hands. I read on krakipedia that if i trainin in TWC I will get a DS bonus from keeping my left hand empty? thanks

Yes. In addition to your normal one-hand parry DS, an open left hand with 1 rank TWC triggers off-hand parry DS. With a minimum of 1 rank per 2 levels (.5x training), you will also gain the main gauche/sai DS bonus (+15) in place of the generic (+5) bonus.

Off-hand parry DS with 1 rank TWC:


[(1 + STR/4 + DEX/4) × (0.10 + stance/4)] + 5

Off-hand parry DS with a minimum of .5x ranks TWC:


[(TWC ranks + STR/4 + DEX/4) × (0.10 + stance/4)] + 15

Where stance is:
OFF: 0.0
ADV: 0.2
FOR: 0.4
NEU: 0.6
GUA: 0.8
OFF: 1.0

With TWC training you'll also gain a bit more DS from the UCS equipment's enchant bonus which stacks with the one-hand parry DS enchant bonus.


(Weapon enchant bonus/2 * stance) + (Weapon enchant bonus/4 * stance)
