Trades? WOW me.
I won a COMPLETE design every aspect of your own head worn with TWO CUSTOM VERBS (barrette, headband, OR hat) service including customized LOOKS and VERBS. This is a project i'm not prepared to do as it looks like hours of planning and designing so I'm offering it to someone more 'fashionista' than myself.
PS: This is more inclusive then the upcoming auction at 7pm on the 18th as it includes the custom verbs you can DESIGN YOURSELF!
Please bid HERE. Auction will go ONCE, TWICE, THRICE, SOLD!
Congratulations on your win! I look forward to working with you to design one of my newly released scripted hairstyling items. There are several aspects that can be customized and a few things worth keeping in mind as you contemplate your design.
First, a rundown on the basic functions of the item in case you are unfamiliar. Each item has three different looks, or “sides” – one for when the item is empty, one for when the item has a gem in it, and one for when the item has a feather in it. While each side must keep the same noun, all be “long” descriptions, and the basic material should remain the same, they are otherwise largely free from alteration restrictions. Nilandia’s site has a good example of what this looks like:
Using a teardrop of smooth honey amber and a grey-swept blue heron feather:
Empty: an oval alum filigree barrette backed in dark green kelyn
Gem: an oval alum filigree barrette dangling tiny smooth honey amber droplets
Feather: an oval alum filigree barrette strung with a trio of blue heron feathers
In addition to having three customizable looks, these items also support up to three custom hairstyles. When worn, the item will replace your normal hairstyle field with the custom one you set up. An example of this would be:
She has long, razor-sheared white blonde hair falling in straight layers about her form.
vs.
She has long, razor-sheared white blonde hair and a black velvet capotain pinned with a spray of curled sky blue plumes worn at a rakish angle.
The bolded section, everything that comes after the word hair, is the section that Is customizable. The item need not come at the end, however.
It is also worth noting that the items are categorized into three groups, those being: Hats, Headbands, and Barrettes. Each group has a set of approved nouns, and the messaging for some of the available verbs changes based on which group the item belongs to. The approved nouns, by group, are as follows:
Hats: Hat, Cap, Tricorn€, Capotain
Headbands: Headband(s), Diadem, Circlet, Tiara, Crown, Garland
Barrettes: Barrette, Haircomb, Fascinator, Cockade, Ornament, Headpiece, Ribbon(s)
And the relevant verbs are:
TWIST
Hats
1st Person: Feeling slightly flustered, you lift your tricorn up just long enough to sweep your other hand over your white-blonde hair. You quickly return the tricorn to your head as you offer the world a sheepish grin.
3rd Person: Looking a little flustered, XXX lifts up her black velvet tricorn just long enough to sweep her other hand over her purple hair. She quickly returns the tricorn to her head and offers a sheepish grin.
Headbands
1st Person: Feeling slightly flustered, you begin to nervously chew on your lower lip and repeatedly attempt to tuck an imagined strand of hair under your headbands. Realizing your what you're doing, you quickly lower hand as you feel a warm flush creeping up your neck and face.
3rd Person: Looking a little flustered, XXX begins to nervously chew on her lower lip and repeatedly attempts to tuck an imagined strand of hair under her cocoa leather headbands. Realizing what she's doing, she quickly lowers her hand as a faint blush creeps up her neck and face.
Barrettes
1st Person: Feeling slightly flustered, you begin to subconsiously twist a strand of white-blonde hair around your barrette. Realizing what you're doing, you quickly lower your hand and adopt a more composed demeanor to face to the world.
3rd Person: Looking a little flustered, XXX begins to subconsiously twist a strand of white-blonde hair around her metal barrette. Realizing what she's doing, she quickly lowers her hand and adopts a more composed demeanor.
ATTEND
Hats
1st Person: Standing tall and puffing out your chest in a grand display of bravado, you carefully attend to your black velvet tricorn then glance around nonchalantly to see if anyone noticed. Your gaze lingers on XXX for a heartbeat, the sight of her bringing an shy smile to your face.
2nd Person: Standing tall and puffing out her chest in a grand display of bravado, XXX carefully attends to her black velvet tricorn then glances around nonchalantly to see if anyone noticed. Her gaze lingers on you for a heartbeat as a slow smile comes to her face.
3rd Person: Standing tall and puffing out her chest in a grand display of bravado, Reidyn carefully attends to her black velvet tricorn then glances around nonchalantly to see if anyone noticed.
Headbands
1st Person: You attend to your cocoa leather headbands, carefully smoothing the hair underneath, and adopt a regal air as you survey the area. Catching XXX's eye, you shoot her an approving glance and give a slight, meaningful nod toward a spot in front of you.
2nd Person: XXX attends to her cocoa leather headbands, carefully smoothing the hair underneath, and adopts a regal air as she surveys the area. Catching your eye, she shoots you an approving look and gives a slight, meaningful nod toward a spot in front of her.
3rd Person: XXX attends to her cocoa leather headbands, carefully smoothing the hair underneath, and adopts a regal air as she surveys the area.
Barrettes
1st Person: You glance down coyly, fingers absently attending to your metal barrette, as an enigmatic expression plays across your face. Without raising your head, you lift your gaze towards XXX and offer her a private smile.
2nd Person: XXX glances down coyly, fingers absently attending to her metal barrette, as an enigmatic expression plays across her face. Without raising her head, she lifts her gaze towards you and offers a private smile.
3rd Person: XXX glances down coyly, fingers absently attending to her metal barrette, as an enigmatic expression plays across her face.
Keep these differences between the three different groups of items in mind when creating your item, as the noun will determine which set of messaging you receive.
Finally, as a limited service, both NOD and SHAKE verbs may be fully customized. This includes both targeted and untargeted versions for both verbs. It may be helpful to think of these as custom verbs that apply only when the item is worn and used, i.e. NOD HAT AT <TARGET>, SHAKE HEADBAND, etc. While highly customizable, it is important that the spirit in which these verbs are intended is honored, that is, they should be similar in effect to nodding or shaking one’s head. They need not make mention of the item in messaging, however.
As the holder of one of my purchase orders, you are entitled to:
Three custom looks (“sides”)
Three custom hair styles
All available verbs: PUSH, PULL, TURN, TWIST, TAP, ATTEND, NOD, SHAKE
Custom NOD and SHAKE messaging
Please be advised that, due to the custom messaging options, these items must be passed by QC before delivery can be made and that I will be submitting them in small batches of 5-10 items as the designs are completed, so it will be some time until your item is delivered. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!
