Worst movie....... EVER. This was the absolute most stupid and boring movie I have ever seen. It dragged on forever, and it had dumbest plot.... It had ABSOLUTELY NO action at all, and had a love plot in it. It sucked so bad, don't see it.

Thanks for the warning. My fiance wants to see it for some reason and I just don't see the fascination at all. I'll wait until it's on Netflix.

Dude, don't say that, I am trying to convince someone to go see it with me. :( :(
Are there any good movies out in theaters right now? I'm pissed off I missed Chronicles of Riddick, but I didn't hear if it was good or bad anyway.

I have heard from a roommate, and someone else from Gemstone that the movie is not worth seeing.

And I was so looking forward to a good scare flick. :(

Dodgeball, if it's still playing anywhere, was hilarious (not Ben Stiller, but everyone else).

M. Night Shyamalan is probably the most overrated modern director.

I don't know why so many people are up in his shit. Probably because he's up in his own shit.

The Sixth Sense was okay, but predictable.

Unbreakable was unbearable. I saw that in the theater, and almost walked out, it was that bad.

Signs was a piece of crap that I fell asleep through twice, and I love alien movies.

I liked it. If you go to his movies expecting action and horror, don't go. if you thought Unbreakable and Signs were long and boring, don't go. I liked the plot. Was it perfect? No. The end seemed a bit, I don't know, too easy. But I liked the movie as a whole.

Is this M. Night's best movie? Writing-wise, no. Direction and visuals are great though. As i was leaving the theater it seemed that most people really liked it or hated it. Most of my friends liked it. The one who didn't was expecting a scary horror flick. instead what he got was a nicely shot and directed view of society.

there is no way for me to write a decent review without giving away plot points so i won't. I'll just say, if you are looking for an action/horror/scary movie, this isn't one. If you go in expecting a movie along the lines of Signs or unbreakable (lots of talk, sometime long drawn os scenes) and if you liked those movies, then check this out.

Anyone walking into the movie expecting an all out action-packed gorefest, obviously hasn't seen any of M. Night Shamamawasleiayan's other movies.

I saw it last night too, and aside from there being two hyena's behind me who obviously expected the type of movie I mentioned above, I thought it was an alright film.

Well directed and well acted, but admittedly a bit slow, just like all of his films are. The twists were money too.

My little brother says this movie was good, even though there were black people in the theater.

(lolz, jk about the black people part)

This Night guy is a son of a bitch. I saw an interview of him a few years ago...maybe when Signs came out....he's nearly a direct quote, "I am the greatest filmmaker/director of all time."

Who says that? What a cock-in-the-ass.

The only movie I like from this director was Signs, which I thought was amazing.

His other movies, however, I thought were crap.

I liked Unbreakable.

To compare this movie to Signs is a joke. Sure you can compare it to Unbreakable, because that movie sucked too. Signs had suspense, this movie did not. The plot was horrible. I wasn't expecting an action packed movie.... I just expected SOMETHING. This movie dragged on worse then a last 30 minutes of LORD: ROTK.

Haha, that movie stank. If M. Night were any more convinced that he was the second coming of Hitchcock, he would have walked into a fucking silhouette of himself at the beginning of the film

If you want to see a great movie, see the Bourne Supremacy. It's one of the only sequels I've seen that is WAY better than the first.

I, Robot was really good and so was Spiderman 2

Latrinsorm
07-31-2004, 08:53 PM
Yeah, Spiderman 2 was alright, although I still think what's her name Mary Jane is pretty ugly. Her and Trish Stratus, I just don't understand the fascination.

<Eh, I heard it sucked ass.>

I heard boobs were nasty, filthy things- then I tried them.

Moral of the story: Make up your own mind on things, instead of letting someone else tell you what is good or not.

unfortunately the world works on opinion and influence...I heard it from a reputable source...

I agree though...I'll probably end up seeing it and find out it sucks.

Wow you guys didn't like the Sixth Sense? I thought it was great. One of my favorite movies ever, and I'm not a big movie person. I liked Signs as well. I've never seen Unbreakable.

I saw Bourne Supremacy last night and I thought that was great. It was just as good as the first one, and you can't say that about many sequels. Although, Spiderman 2 was an excellent sequel. I, Robot is another movie out now that is really good.

I really liked Sixth Sense, as well as Signs (although not as much as the critics did), and I thought Unbreakable was very interesting. I don't know why it was disliked as much as people say.

My taste in movies don't always agree with the masses, and certainly not with critics so if it looks interesting to me I'll see it dispite the naysayers. Every movie, no matter how reknowned it is, has a group of people that hated it.

I don't get this "reputable source" comment. No one is a good reputable source as far as movie opinion is concerned. I really don't believe that your opinion matches this person's 100% all the time.

How about a person who critiques movies for a living? I also happen to share similar views on films with the person as well....I dunno...that seems like good logic to me...

I'm possibly dumb.

.... Something about the "innovative" camera working being too excessive and distracting from the action/plot...

Hulkein

I just saw it tonite. I didn't find the camera work distracting, I actually thought it added a lot to the movie.

I enjoyed it in general.

Did anyone else hear about the exposé documentary about Night that Sci-Fi put together? They hyped it by saying Night walked off pissed.

Did anyone actually see that crap they tried to pull? After, they admitted it was a hoax.

Yeah. When they interviewed those 1-hour photo people about the blurry photo of Night... lol. And the dude throwing shells around.

I just saw it and I really enjoyed it. I liked Signs and Sixth as well, though I thought Unbreakable was stupid and silly. The good guy isn't supposed to call the cops on the villian, for chrissakes, he's supposed to kick his ass.

Anyway. The Village was good, but I guessed the truth (about the world outside the town, not necessarily the red guys) like ... halfway through the movie. And I thought the blind girl running down the road waving the stick was kind of weird.

I was surprised that there were some very (intentionally) funny parts.

It might be a movie that I'll download off IRC.

It's certainly not a movie that I'm willing to pay $7 to see.

And I still think that Shyamalamadingdong is the most overrated modern director.

Sixth Sense was my least favorite of M.Night's films.

I loved Unbreakable. For me, it was a really great movie with a pretty decent plot and belieable characters. I liked it a lot.

Signs was fricken awesome. Nothing beat seeing it the first time in theatres. I was literally on the edge of my seat. Rarely happens for me.

I can't wait to see The Village, personally. I like his movies and his style of writing and directing. It's a breath of air.

Bourn Supremecy was nothing special. It was a "watch it and forget it" movie, but entertaining at the time and I heard I, Robot was a B Movie that was just damn awful, plus I hate Will Smith.
