Fusion/enhancive questions

So I was away from the game when enhancives and the fusion system were introduced. I am a full caster ranger at 81 trains, COL member, but I am not taking advantage of any enhancive items other than my adventurer's guild badge. I'm not really sure how the fusion system works exactly and was wondering if any fellow rangers out there could point me in the right direction on the subject. What sort of socketed items are you using and what sort of fusion orbs are you putting in there? Do you have to keep them charged with AvG points, do they shatter on you? I use archery for defensive purposes but never for offense, do they make socketed bows? Thanks for any advice, I'm lost.

Pretty certain the only fusion items out there now are weapons, shields, and armor. 2 sockets per are the default off the shelf stuff, and 3 socket stuff if usually raffled.

Yeah, keep them charged with AVG points. Not sure about shattering... I'm sure Nilandia's site has some more info.

Yep, off the shelf 4x bows of every variety and 2 sockets were just sold at EG. Since bow enchant = DS, it's up to you to determine what's the best for your defensive needs.


As far as what you want... it's entirely up to you. Max mana, Mana recovery, mana control... If you're using CS, whatever stat that may be (many sites at work blocked). Pretty much anything that you can put into your AVG badge, you can find/get as a fusion orb. It's entirely up to you what you want to put into it.
