Have any of you old-timers like me ever looked at your join date and momentarily warped back to that age? I was a freshman in college when I joined here and now I am a 28 year old dad of two. Wow man, time flies. Pretty cool that our generation gets our life semi-chronicled online.

Going well Hulkein. Grad school and an athletic 10 yr old son in addition to work and other activities keep me well occupied.

This. I think I first played when I was 12. So, 18 years, on and off? Mostly off. I think it took me like 6 years to make it to level 12, and then they changed the experience table. Something like that. It's all kind of blurry.

It does make me wonder how many other people here have rocked a 300 bps modem on an old apple 2. My PC had a 2400. Yeah, that's right, bitch. Then when 28.8 became available, I bought it. That, and I think my first 1 GB hard drive if I remember correctly. Everything was amazing, then.

For those of you getting all nostalgic about modems. You should know. Most top level business still keep modems all over the place. They are useful for tech support to dial in and fix things while broadband is down. Which statistically happens multiple times a day if your business is spread all over the country. And yes everytime I hear it screech it reminds of gemstone for some reason.
