Anyone familiar with how sloot3 does ids for items? My sloot3 fails hard on skinning (keeps putting rune staff in the sheath when it doesn't need a free hand (and stow is not set) and it has issues recognizing my longcoat. I've tried long, longcoat, emerald long, emerald longcoat and it keeps saying failed to find boxack failed to find jewelry sack.

Containers are set-up using ;set my <container> jewelrysack, etc., from what I remember.

Isn't that what the boxes for setup are for? I've used those for all my other chars and they all work fine. I assume it has something to do with my guy having a lot of similarly named things. I will try it though.
No luck

I have all that set per the first post. I've done long, longcoat, emerald long, emerald longcoat. It was working for a while with just long but after changing it and changing it back it no longer works. That's why I was wondering about how it stores ids and stuff because I was thinking maybe I need to reset it. It also seems to confuse my dagger with my runestaff and try to sheath my rune staff instead of my dagger when I don't have stow left or right hand set for skinning. Driving me crazy.

On the first screen, longcoat only. Put the noun of the container. On the second screen, click all the boxes of what you want to pick up. Gems, boxes, scrolls, clothing, etc. Click the box.

So i figured out why sloot3 wasn't working for part of it. There was a setting called longcoat: gemsack: Longcoat or something like that was screwing it up. So I deleted it and it works ok now. Skinning is still screwed up. The settings look good for skinweapon skinweaponsack and skinsack.

J>tap dag
You tap a gold-handled imflass dagger etched with a coiled serpent in an old serpent skin sheath.
J>tap run
You lower the tip of your green villswood runestaff to the ground and trace a pattern, chanting a malevolent prayer. You firmly tap the pattern with your runestaff, and a circle of darkness rises from the ground beneath you and then disappears.

You are now in a defensive stance.

You search the thunder troll.
It had a war mattock.
It didn't carry any silver.
It had nothing else of value.
A thunder troll dissipates into the air, leaving nothing behind.

See where it says looting at the top of your picture, click that, check the boxes.
Then click on skinning.
Check Enable Skinning.
Check Enable Alternate if you want to use a dagger/skinning knife instead of your mace/lance/main weapon.
Type dagger in the weapon spot if you need to use a dagger and type in the name of the container in the sack spot where you keep the dagger.

It looks like it's skinning it with my runestaff cuz it always fails then it sheas my runestaff in the shea instead of my dagger. My rune staff is actioned and i think shrinks down or something cuz it fits in some weird containers so maybe sloot is confused over which is the skinning one despite the settings?

On the first screen, check stow left hand and your pictures link to the same picture, picture 1 but I saw the other 2 pictures and that check should fix it.

Sorry about that. I went and edited it and i only changed the type link. Clicking stow right hand actually works fine it stows the right hand and skins with dagger. However the problem with that is that means in a swarm i have 0 defense for that split second as my runestaff is gone. On my ranger it doesn't stow my bow it just skins with the knife. I assume it works because the bow is in the other hand? I would assume that sloot would be smart enough to go "there's only one thing in my hand so i don't need to stow and I should skin with the skinning weapon" unfortunately for some reason it is determined to stow my runestaff when there's no need to stow anything.

Disregard. It looked like it was stowing the runestaff earlier but seems like its working now. Thanks a bunch! This was driving me crazy

I think I figured out one of the reasons I was having so many problems. There appears to be a couple of bugs in the script where it says it fails to put your knife away (when it doesn't actually even enter a command to put it away) and then it tries to open the container (despite the container already being open and NOT having "close container" checked.

Had a similar problem with a runestaff, but as a previous poster suggested just clicked the 'stow left hand' option even with the hand empty and it works fine now.
