I tried searching for this refusing connection on the forums but nothing came up. It was working for a while then after i rebooted it started acting screwy. Works fine on desktop

I'm getting the same thing, haven't been able to figure out a fix yet but haven't reinstalled yet either.

Try downloading http://www.lichproject.org/download/lich-4.3.17.zip and copying the lnet, repository, and updater scripts from it into your script directory.

Thanks Tillmen, that worked for me.

Did.

You did before or after I post about it?

Hmm, I'm getting the same problems as well although slib is also giving me the same message. I popped in the lnet, repo and updater scripts from the latest zip file you linked but then ;repogui also refused to work so I couldn't redownload slib from the repo. I deleted it and downloaded slib from the repo, then restarted Lich. Unfortunately I'm still getting the slib error message (though not the updater or repo errors anymore after using your fix):

[slib: error connecting to server: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. - connect(2)]

After you posted about it I grabbed it again and copied the scripts over but that is the same files/version I installed earlier as well. getting the issue on both computers now even the one that was working for the last several weeks.

Just double checked before work. Looks like it's completely shot. Any ideas? Was hoping to bust out some levels this weekend. I don't think I can stand to play anymore without lich lol

Is anyone able to connect? I tried a couple different accounts to see if it was just the one user I was using but it happens on all my computers with all accounts

Just made an account to post that I'm having the same problem.

Have reinstalled completely two times with no different result.

lnet:63:in `open'

C:/~/lib/ruby/1.8/rexml/parsers/baseparser.rb:133:in `stream='
[lnet: connection lost]
[lnet: waiting 298 seconds before trying to reconnect...]

Wish I could get on lnet =/

Thanks Tillmen, looks like the updates cleared it up. I logged in today and updater updated itself and slib, I restarted Lich and no error messages!

For those having problems, try replacing your lnet, repository and updater scripts as Tillmen suggested and then running updater (if it doesn't auto run) then restart Lich.

Weird. I downloaded the zip file and replaced the scripts as he suggested yesterday and had the same issues. Just did it again and i tried to run updater like you said and it said it was already running and lnet appears to be working. Going to try it on my desktop now. Thanks all

I redownloaded lich, replaced the script files, restarted and I'm still getting connection refused. It's on my desktop.

Tillmen

I'm not sure why that wouldn't work, unless you've got more than one Lich directory and you're fixing the one that isn't being used. Type this in game to see if it's the right directory:

;eq respond $script_dir

Nope just the one directory. I even logged out and did it two more times to be sure I replaced everything. Still refusing connection.

Never mind. I deleted the whole folder and am redoing everything.

Just downloaded 4.3.17 from the link provided within this thread, and without anything running, replaced the three files; lnet, updater, and repository and had no connection errors as was happening just last night.

repo still wont work for me

Tillmen
10-22-2012, 07:29 PM
The repository is running on the old server again now, which is probably what you're trying to connect to. You should be able to download repository, updater, and lnet from there. Also, something has gone horribly wrong to make any of this needed. You should probably look into that.
