The underside of the jaw is actually one of the worst places to hit someone in a fight. It's really hard to knock them out there. You want to hit the front tip of the jaw or the sides. That'll knock someone the fuck out.

From what I've read she punched him, spit in his face and placed her hands around his throat first. If all of that is true then I think the man showed great restraint. The minute anyone puts their hands around my throat they are getting thrown off my bus, if they are a gamestop employee the bus will still be in motion when I eject them.
