tarnished eonake maul

Had this maul forever, gave it off to another character and it won't work. Bard song says it's magically restricted but I can't tell what the restriction is.

You attempt to attack Person with your eonake maul, but it resists, preventing you from completing the maneuver.

What could it be?

Sounds like a paladin bonded to it and never broke the bond.

Yeah, I actually figured out what happened. Totally forgot to mention. My paladin had bonded to it, then rerolled back to cleric. The only way I can unbond it now is to convert her to paladin again and level her up to 25. I forgot she had bonded to it. :(

you can break a paladin bond with a warrior bond....

I'm pretty sure only the original paladin can break the bond. Besides, doesn't a warrior need to swing it to bond to it?
