During an invasion, or even camp raids for that matter... everything goes by so fast I just continually hit whatever I can. However, some people actually seem to be able to make sense of all this chaos like it is in slow motion to them. Just wandering if they are used to it or if there is something I am missing.
Thanks

Go bananas, just don't be one of those douchebags that casts aoe spells that hit players too.

Highlighting certain words is a useful tactic

The longer you play the easier it is to see thru the scroll as well. But highlights do wonders.

As a wizard, I highlight things that reflect cone of lightning, like thunder trolls, wind witches, kobold shepards, etc. Then I just go apeshit chain casting the spell, and looting everything I kill. If there's too many creatures in the room that are at such a high level that it's suicide, I'll try to find my way into a room where there's less creatures so I can focus on one creature at a time. When there's major demons about like the ones that the sorcerers lose control over, rapid fire major lightning is your best friend, but be sure to run before he gets a chance to hit you.
I have fond memory when the Voln monestary was released in Ta'Vaalor, blasting the shit out of everything that invaded that were basically just creatures from the bog. I was in voln on that wizard, so I kept using symbol of mana so I never ran out and kept going. I was right on the edge of being able to gain experience from the invading creatures so I had to kill ALOT to fry... but when all was said and done, I nearly single-handedly cut a swathe from the gate to the Voln monestary killing just about every single thing in my path.
2 GM controlled characters even joined my group and started bitching how I was relying too much on magic. Sure enough, the last room at the entrance of the monestary was anti-magic. Now, my wizard was sort of a hybrid. If I used phoen's strength, heroism, bravery, and dropped my elemental focus, I was able to haste swing a falchion with a 1 second RT. With all those spells, I was about on par with a square maybe 2-3 levels under me. Once I took a quick break to put up those spells and haste myself I was able to clear out most of the creatures in the anti-magic room as well. It was glorious!
I think I pissed off the GM's running that event because I killed almost everything.

It seems that lately the popular invasions involve Grimswarm. I don't care what you highlight, if you ain't within a couple of levels of the people who are engaging them, you can kiss your ass good bye if you are significantly younger than them.
