A Turinrond morph swings a tendril of amorphous goo at you!
AS: +398 vs DS: +218 with AvD: +39 + d100 roll: +70 = +289
... and hits for 92 points of damage!
Incredible slash to your neck!
Throat and vocal cords destroyed!
Zero chance of survival.
The brilliant aura fades away from you.
A Turinrond morph flows effortlessly over to brush against Tayre's body. As he does, Tayre's corpse shrinks in on itself until bones begin to protude against the shrunken skin. In return you notice the morph has swollen in size and appears more energetic.
Bwahahaha!

Turinrond says, "And I ran like a girl when I saw the Boomsplat morph"

I hate those things. Ran into a whole group of them coming back to Icemule yesterday, didn't have a chance to react before I was stunned. There was a Turinrond morph running around there too.

[Blue Glacier, Mountain Pass]
You pick your way carefully over the rocks heavily coated with ice as you push forward on your stone-bruised feet. The snow clouds hang low over the rugged mountains, hiding the glacier tops from your view. You also see a v'reen lizard, a v'reen morph that appears rather calm and a v'reen morph.
Obvious paths: northeast, southwest

Strike to abdomen punctures stomach!
You are stunned for 3 rounds!
The guiding force leaves a v'reen morph.
>sym calm
You are still stunned.
>
A v'reen lizard claws at you!
AS: +0 vs DS: +312 with AvD: +31 + d100 roll: +86 = -195
A clean miss.

Jarring blow to your back.

A dusky wolfhound saunters in.
The parts of a v'reen morph flow in and reform!
>sym need
You are still stunned.
>

A v'reen morph swings a tendril of amorphous goo at you!
AS: +457 vs DS: +320 with AvD: +37 + d100 roll: +75 = +249
... and hits for 38 points of damage!
Shot to your neck scrapes away skin.
Some nasty bleeding.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
You feel the aura of confidence leave you.
You return to normal color.
The buzz of thoughts in your mind subsides.
You no longer feel so dextrous.
The air about you stops shimmering.
The deep blue glow leaves you.
You feel the inner strength leave you.
You feel your extra strength departing.
The light blue glow leaves you.
It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...
You mentally give a sigh of relief as you remember that the Goddess Lorminstra owes you a favor.

You can all thank River's Rest for the Morphs. They originated there due to some Arch Wizard's experiment gone wrong. Oh, dont worry, both of them died in a most horrible manner.
P.S My Morph killed alot of people, it was almost as gratifying as doing the job myself.

I'm just wondering why were you trying to get a symbol of need in before you died? Why not leave the room or use symbol of return or something?

You search the Tayre morph.
You discard the morph's useless equipment.
It had 207 silvers on it.
You gather the remaining 207 coins.
It had a piece of green jade on it!
Interesting, it carried some ephlox moss with it.
It had nothing else of value.
The gelatinous blob that was a Tayre morph dries up and collapses into a heap of dust.
I think the herb was a slight towards empaths.
Edited to add:
You search the Tayre morph.

You gather the remaining 220 coins.
It had a blood red garnet on it!
Interesting, it carried a rose-marrow potion with it.
It had nothing else of value.

...now it's getting personal.

Hakwea traces a sign that contorts in the air while he forcefully incants a dark invocation...

Hakwea gestures at a v'reen morph.
The v'reen morph's hands move rapidly and a reflective red aura springs up between Hakwea and it.

Warding failed!
Hakwea blinks dazedly for a moment.
I wanna do that!!!

Because I was stunned and couldn't move. I knew I was about to die because all that damage I took was within a 10 second period, and I could have sworn symbol of need worked when you're stunned. The first thing I did when I entered the room is try to calm them, but I was already hit by the time the command got processed.

A lone tree has managed to sprout up in the middle of this barren field and survive the wind and cold, its branches twisted and intertwined. You have scripts to spike and ambush? that's incredibly sad:lol:
Drew2
08-22-2003, 02:54 AM
Actually, it's not. If he wants to do multiple spikes, he can just hit enter instead of entering two lines to spike. I thought it was pretty logical.
And most people use a small script to ambush. It's very convenient.

Actually.. I would imagine most people don't have a small script to ambush.
How hard is it to simply make a macro key? Hitting one button is SO much easier than hitting all those letters.
Here's mine.
stance off \r ambush morph head\r
One button instead of Eight. Hell, you can save yourself a damn keystroke and eliminate the '.' and just type 'Amb Mor' and get the same exact result.

I don't like macros so I don't use them.

I macro my skinning and picking up gems and such, I also have a pickup script but I always use the macro for whatever reason. I'm one of those that manually types out the hunt. Most of the time I don't even press the up arrow to bring back the last command, habit I guess.
I'm not a fan of macros, either.
I just make scripts with short names. For example, my script for firing a crossbow is ".x <target>" and my script for picking something up is ".get <target>"
