Wanting to do a monk style rogue and was going to go with ambush brawling. Been a life long sorc and thought i would try something new. Can this turn out to be ok? Looking at doing:
1x Armor
2x Brawling
2x CMAN
2x Ambush
1x PF
3x Dodge
2x Disarm
2x Pick
2x Stalking and Hiding
2x Perception

This seem ok? Shit? I have taken this from some other builds and put it together. Any help would be awesome.

I don't know what your TPs look like, but I do this build but with 1x TWC, also. I don't have enough TPs to do the pick/disarm, but everything else fits just fine. If you can 1.5x or 2x PF, that would be even better for stamina and avoiding maneuvers, etc.

I was told that TWC didn't affect UAC any more. What are the pros to it?

Oh, maybe I missed that post. I thought it added to DS. It's pretty cheap to train in, in any event.

It still adds to DS, but you have to be at least .5x TWC before the benefits kick in.

If you want to keep the picking/disarm, I'd suggest dropping the dodge down to 2x, you'll be fine with it and you should rarely see an AS/DS check when in offensive as long as you are careful.

Well on the spreadsheet I have dodge at 2.9x and everything above fits. That is without adding TWC. Think I should throw the TWC and more PF and drop the picking? I have never picked so I don't know how fun it is or if it is boring as hell.

Also, what are some good starting stats? I was thinking of going with halfling. Preferences on races?

The only real advantage to picking is you can save the money you would ordinarily pay the NPC smiths, which is a criminal amount. You could get a PC smith, but you have to tip them too. You probably won't make a whole hell of a lot picking for people, as ;go2 locksmith really fucked up picking for a living, and honestly at 2x, you would likely be limited to like-level boxes anyway, and not-so-much later in your career if you stick to 2x.

On balance, picking is a lot of fun to me. I still manually pick my boxes (no scripts), and I also taught myself/learned the hard way how to disarm scale traps. If I knew more rogues in game, I'd probably be a hell of a lot better at it than I am...

With uac do you wield brawling weapons in both hands or just 1?

Personally, I would drop dodge down to 2x. You can use those points to get 1x TWC for some defense and put the rest into picking locks. If you haven't factored getting spells up to 404, put those points into that first and then TWC/picking.

I liked being able to pick my own locks. That extra money per chest can really add up over time, and I had a rest script for my pickers that would start opening boxes at 75%. That little XP boost on a node also adds up over time. Oh, and scarabs too.

ETA: Giantman has become my preferred race for just about any and every profession, half-krolvin and dwarf for some specific builds (generally two-handed weapon users and empaths, respectively). Carrying capacity beats all other racial benefits.

You don't need and in most cases it is disadvantageous to hold any of the brawling weapons that function with UNARMED combat. HELD items will penalize the mulitplier modifier. What you should have are UCS compatible hand and foot gear which can be ebladed, blessed, enchanted etc. There is no penalty for these WORN items.
