The bustling town comes together in this square. Halflings dressed in varying fashions stand about, some chattering happily, others reclining on cloaks laid on the ground. One ancient halfling leans against the base of the large ice statue of a mule, snoring blissfully. A feeling of community pervades the area, putting you immediately at ease. Not that I feel my actions have to be justified to anyone here, but I'll humor the masses.

I do not come into Gemstone to piss people off. In fact, most people that know me know that I'm usually very pleasant and helpful. Garr, through a series of events, became number one on my shit list. Therefore, he got the full force of my pestering and antagonizing. You don't know everything that happend, I don't do things like that every day, nor to just anyone, and I (the player) am not like Tayre in that sense. I'm so happy I ran Reminion out of the landing and Gemstone. That is one of my favorite accomplishments in Gemstone. I played Everquest for a little bit, and I saw a guy named Reminion there, so I thought I would ask the guy if he was Reminion from Gemstone. Sure enough he was and he told me the reason he left Gemstone was because of Sintik. That log cracks me up.

well where shoudl i start... First off he accused me of stealing. when i wasnt then attacked me in my hunting ground un provoked and killed my rogue. so i killed him back bad mouthed me the entire time to multiple of my characters. i spoke to him as Reyek and told him to stop fighitng with everyone or he wont gain to manin friends and he went off on me. Went off on all the people in town center. stays OOC all the time when i silenced him he used the action command to speak. yup he deserves the black list...

Oh so looking in on someone isn't interaction? You're not supposed to be in the same room as them (if you can help it), talk to them or even talk about them at all. It's like they don't exist to you. So the minute you do anything, even so much as glance at him and leave, you interacted with him.

I didn't glance. And I had explicit permission to talk ABOUT him all I wanted, but never to him. He had no idea I did anything to him. No one did. No one but me and the GMs. But apparently that is harrassment. ::shrugs:: I don't care anymore. It's not going to haunt me, and I'm definatly not going to let this ruin my night/day/week... It's all just a game.

You were pulled up into the lounge by a GM. You were told to ignore and avoid each other. You were told to pretend the other didn't exist. You heard that Garr complained about being located. You heard Khaladon tell him that he would be watching the situation.

You locate him and then wonder why you got an official warning?

Sorry to break it to you, sport, but no interaction does include not speaking about them either. You're both supposed to pretend that neither one exists. So yes, a locate is considered interaction. Considering that a GM was watching you more closely, you would think to just listen to what he told you to do. Leave him alone already.

None of this would have happened if you didn't take the conflict with Garr so personally. Although, I'm not sure what else to expect considering the incredibly annoying behaviour that started this thread.

The only thing I'm curious about is this...would any of this happened if you hadn't used the Warn Interaction command? I just have to wonder if that is what triggered Khaladon pulling you two up, instead of merely monitoring the situation. I guess we'll never know....

Garr ignores the warn when you do it to him but hides behind it when he does it to you.

As immature as Garr seems to be coming off in situations I've seen, I can't see how goating him into being like that so that he could have been warn interacted as being a good thing. It was instigated. I wouldn't have taken that warn seriously since Tayre started it first and egged him into it.

same thing happened between Garr and me and i didnt instigate him as soon as he warned me i ignored him and went about my business. he went out of his way to annoy me and still talked to me. tracked my rogue down in his hunting area and attacked me. the entire time i ignored him until he killed me then i kill hiim him after that he bitched and moaned to a GM about it saying i was picking on him. only thing i did was steal from him after he already accused me of it. since i was being blamed for it might as well make some silver from him. I dont usually steal from anyone unless they become annoying. Or if im playing with a friend

That is the MAIN reason for so many problems in the game today. Folks simply cannot differentiate between roleplaying a character and the player behind the character.

It's the main reason why a valuable verb like WARN has become absolutely a joke. "Billy just called me a half-breed! I don't like it, so I WARNED him! He can't talk to me like that!"

It's become a crutch for those who are roleplay challenged.

Hindsight is a bitch.

Now that I've slept on it, thought about it, etc... yeah, I was wrong. Yeah, this came crashing down on my head from my own doing. I am smart/mature enough to figure that out, just not when I'm angry. I had a talk with Illusion again, told him that had I known location was part of that agreement, I never would have done that, etc. Yes, I do reap what I sow.

And I never really took the actual conflict with Garr personally. I just get bored easily and find things to do that entertain me. One of them being antagonizing those easily antagonized. I never really take anything on the internet personally, but I can admit when I was wrong and have made a mistake.

Why I felt the need to explain this to everyone, I don't know. But there you have it.

Yes. One of the reasons when that log was posted that I said that there were so many things wrong with it that I didn't know where to begin.

The well and Town Centre are all getting to be a bit out of hand. I've tried to do my part by staying in character but I assume my rogue is just lost in the crowds. I've just been hunting more lately and hope that this is only a 'phase'.

I had thought of that, but I meet so many teenagers that are really good roleplayers, I didn't want to lump them into one catagory. I tend to feel that is one of reasons though. (just by what I've experienced the last couple of months)
