View Full Version : semi-informative goodbye

07-15-2004, 01:58 AM
Just a semi-informative goodbye post you could say. I just wanted to thank all the friends I have made here on the boards before I head out. I’ve managed to meet people here that I never would have in real life, and for that I am grateful. I also managed to make quite a few friends here as well, and one I will hold very close to my heart. I wish you all the best of luck, be you my enemy or my friend.

I ship out the 21st, but my last day around will be the 19th or the 20th depending on how much I have to do prior to my leaving, there is a chance I will be around after basic, but that depends on how lenient my schooling is, and if they will allow computers. If you do not hear much from me in the next 10 months or so that is why.

Again I wish you all the best, and my you all find happiness in the path ahead of you.

Take good care of yourself, Dave. You have so very much ahead of you. The adventure that will come to be your life has only begun. Make it something to look back on with pride, and laughter, even an occasional tear. Make it count.

You know how to reach me, so keep me posted if you can.

HarmNone raises a Bailey's to Dave and his version of that wonderful adventure we call life :D

Good luck, and not only will you be allowed to use computers for 97b but they'll most likely give you one to use

U2U me your address, so when I know the addy <wont till im at basic\processing> I will be SURE to give you my "real" name too. Though it will be amusing either way. I do request no gay porn though, as that might make the drill zero in on me, and I would hate to have to kick your gimp marine ass. ;):lol::P :hides:

Doesn't matter all your uniforms look like crap. It's not your fault though it's the branch you're in.

And I'm going to make you strong at boot camp. Hell I might even make the 2 hour drive to Ft Lost in the Woods to see you graduate.

07-15-2004, 11:19 AM
Naw they are changing everything again. Stole your camo design and made it better for the Body Armor. And they are changing the Class A <green dress uniform> to look like the Dress Blues a bit more.

Graduation should be around the second week of october.

Cute hat, nice patches. Your dress uniforms will never look as good, sorry.

We have body armor as well it goes in the enforcer series of flaks. Also unless I'm mistaken that's an SNCO, your gonna have fun at boot.

07-15-2004, 11:26 AM
They are going back to the patrol cap It appears\I hope. I dont want to walk around looking like the french.

If only I could Photoshop a large white stain on it, and it'd be perfect for you, Artha.

Good luck. Hopefully you'll get stationed in Germany, Okinawa or Hawaii.

One can always hope backlash. I have my "DREAM" list, but my getting stationed somewhere I want is up to them.
