I just uploaded a script called 1003 to lich. It should be especially useful for young bards that can't keep many songs up at a time. Since 1003 costs only 3 mana to cast, it's very good to keep it out of your renew list so you don't incur additional spell costs for having too many spells being renewed. The script just casts it when it's not running, and then stops it from being renewed.

This is actually really badass. Thanks for this!
Could you do the same thing to 1017? I use that a lot soloing in camps and it would be nice to have this same code applied to this spell.

For me it just loops 1003 and stops it over and over for some reason.

Merala for some reason it did that for me the second day I ran it as well. I tried to upload the new one to the repo but I couldn't upload anything the other day for some reason. I'll upload the new one now that actually works.
Poet, 1017 doesn't last for a set amount of time like 1003 does. It only lasts as long as the bard is singing it. What may be useful is a script that sings it until you're within 20 seconds of renewing or so, and then stops it so it doesn't mess with your singing, and then restarts it after. I'm not sure how easy this would be to code, but i'll try looking into it.

Poet, give ;1017 a try. I haven't done TOO much testing, but I think it should work.

Thanks TheOne.
I haven't tried it yet but may get the chance tonight. Thanks for your help and contributions.

No problem Poet, hope it helps ya. I could have used that when we were camping and my empath was still a swinger, would have been amazing. Those times are past however.

Can you run both ;manasong and ;1003 together? Or will there be a timing issue on canceling and putting them back on?
Because man... that would free up a TON of mana.

Based on the notes from ;manasong, I don't see a reason why they would interfere with each other. I've never used ;manasong though so don't know for sure. Give it a shot and let us know!

im sorry but this is really just an excersice in laziness. it really isnt hard to just cast 1003 and stop singing it immediately, unless its a remembering to do it issue. in that case you SHOULD do it just to help your memory out a little bit

Yeah um...all scripts are an exercise for laziness.

Is there a simple cock, load and fire script for crossbows in the Lich repository? Seriously trying to skim through all of those in that big list and get info for each is giving me a crazy headache. Appreciate the help.
hmmm...

well touche, but there is a difference. 1003 only needs to be cast and stopped immediately every 5 minutes or so. And you have a prompt in game when you should cast it again, it looks like this. 'Your songs renew." Crossbow use is pretty much dependent on at least macros to be useful. But I get where you're coming from.

That you are being hypocritical? Yes.

Lazy or not, starting and stopping 1003 is a manual effort. I have enough macros and stormfront scripts to worry about when I hunt, and to automate this process is a big help. The need matches the lich script solution rather well.
Too often do I see "your songs renew" right in the middle of a big swarm. I think I will get to it later, but often forget about it.

Or worse...I end up starting 1003, 5 pyrothags walk in, I tell myself I'll stop it later, forget, my songs renew, and I end up losing something like 20 mana for the mistake. Then I yell loud profanity.
