Resident Evil 6. This game looks BOSS, and I look forward to playing as Leon. Nuff said!

Of course I wont be using the ground sliding command as often as it's bragged about by the promoters.
I love most of the Resident Evil games, RE 2 and 4 being my most favorites.

Other survival horrors I like are..
Haunting Ground
Fatal Frame (series)
Clock Tower (have only played the 3rd so far)

Can't really get into the Silent Hills for some reason.

Anyone else fancy this genre as well, and have ones they recommend?

Is RE6 going to be like Resident Evil 4 and 5? Wait, okay, will it be like, "pew-pew-pew, anime storyline, pew-pew-pew." Or like, "Okay, there's Mr. X, I have no fucking plants to patch up my severed head. Okay, zombie hands appearing through the walls of the police station, yeah, that licker wasn't in the interrogation room and I just shat myself?"

Also, what Fallen said. The only other games I can think of off the top of my head that barely come close (to Dead Space) are Condemned I and II, played in that order, and maybe The Darkness I and II also played sequentially ... but that's not even coming close to Dead Space. Hmmm.

^ for me too. Except less Red Faction'y where it's like, okay, let's just spawn fifty bad guys/rely heavily on difficulty setting vs. a good scare, mindfuck and some strategy thrown in there for good measure. BioShock-esque.

Long time RE fan with 2 and 3 being my favorite. Leon and Chris are great but I've had enough of them already. Would much rather have someone playable like Barry Burton or Hunk.

I've played a few of the Silent Hill games, not good as the RE series but the first one was pretty scary.

I picked up the SH remix for the 360 that dropped. It was alright. I don't know how, as a game developer, you're supposed to take stuff from older games and then next-next gen them without losing a lot of the the black-and-white horror that just played out better on shittier graphic engines. Maybe that's why so few horror-survival titles are dropping. I hope that made some sort of sense.

It's all about what sells the most and these days the fast paced action games sell a lot more, unfortunately. I'm also going to add Alan Wake to this list. It's a must play game IMO, so go play it right now if you haven't already.

AW is boss.

I know right? Especially when he's on stage and rocking out to some viking music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5iy46bsov4

Project Zomboid is a good one. Granted it's STILL in Alpha and has some shitty bugs.

I have Dead Space 2 but I haven't played it. Working on the new Transformers. Looking forward to RE6

One of my all time favorite gaming experiences was the first RE. There was nothing easy about that game when it first came out.

I've also heard good things about Amnesia and Dear Esther. On top of that, Doom 3 is fairly combat heavy but does have a lot of surival horror aspects to it. The BFG edition will be out soon which will bring it up to speed graphically and add new content.

RE 6 looks nice.

Honestly, the RE game for the 3DS, Resident Evil: Revelations, was pretty good. I've been eyeballing Operation Raccoon City, hoping the price will dip a little before I break down and pick it up.
