Ruby Amulets - MIU and Charges?

Do Ruby Amulets require MIU to use? Furthermore, how many charges does a critter found copy usually have? Going to do a rank 10 Sunfist brute fight soon with a level 7 character, and planning to just grind through it on buffs.

They don't require any MIU to use and they come with a couple of charges usually.
