My Immortal is quite possibly the worst song I've ever heard. I used to think Pearl Jam's rendition of First Kiss, or anything by Creed did it, but this song definitely takes the cake as the worst song ever. I actually turned the radio OFF the last time the song came on...

I don't listen to the radio cept for AM once in a while. What I am saying is that most people will listen to whatever is on the radio whether it is good or not. They base the validity of the music on the fact that major radio stations play it all the time and of course this has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with money.

The majority of the population listens to pop music that is why I said the masses... and no I don't hate everything on the radio just the majority of it. I espically cannot stand people that don't write there own music. I'm a really big music fan and I take pride in listening to music that a lot of effort was put into and the people don't live in mansions and act like rock stars because they don't care about that, they just want to make music. So I have no problem with anyone liking pop music I was just stating the facts of that particular situation in the music industry right now. To become famous writing music you must look and act a specific way. Dosen't make sense to me because the way you look or act has nothing to do with the music you write.

But you realize by following Telfaahga's logic, if he ever had a hit on the radio, or if his record ever went platinum, you'd have to stop listening to him. Even though you found him first, he would be considered "mainstream"

I don't think that's what he's saying at all. He's just saying the majority of music on the radio is manufactured crap, which is true. He even said that not everything on the radio is awful. It's catchy, sure, and that's why it's popular. But it has no soul.

I think it's a terrible song, personally. While I do agree that most songs on the radio do suck, I'm not going to count them out just because of that fact. They don't suck because they are on the radio, they suck because I don't like how they sound. Not writing their own songs or whatever is just another reason for me not to like them, not the deciding factor.
