Good armor for vanish at cap?

Brigandine is decent protection at reasonable prices.

Not cap, but At level 71 I'm in MBP and vanishing fine still. Don't think I'm going to train in anymore armor till I cap tho for vanishing/hiding purposes tho. Don't really hunt super perceptive creatures at the moment tho, last being stone mastiffs in the stronghold.

i can vanish in full plate in front of bandits with shadow mastery up reasonably well, and that's with only 2x hide

The hide penalty based on AG is quantified and that penalty corresponds 1:1 to stalking & hiding training like armored stealth. Cost-benefit analysis is up to the individual.
