this actually is a great topic. I think there is a certain attitude because of the way people in Gemstone talk, act, and failure at proper grammar that they are uneducated or unintelligent when in actuality most I've met are at least decently educated and typically above average intelligence.

I have affirmative action to thank for my career path. As an average, middle-class caucasian I felt my chances of getting into a top tier school with near perfect grades and kick-ass test scores was still only 50-50. So instead of bothering with all of that, I just went abroad for graduate school -- best decision I ever made.

So instead of bothering with all of that, I just went abroad for graduate school -- best decision I ever made.

Cool! Where did you go abroad? Someone tried to talk me into doing this last year. Truth be told, I would probably be in Korea right now if I were sans toddler. It's cheaper, exciting and something different to do. I'm suprised more Americans don't study abroad...everyone in Europe seems to do it.

The only social conservative I can think of that we've had on the PC also had a pond shaped like a cock and balls. So I'm not sure where that leaves us exactly.

I think Badtie might be moderately socially conservative, but it remains to be seen whether he has a penis pond.

I think you are incorrect. Based on the reps I've recieved, we might have at least 3 seperate social conservatives, one at least partly religious. Unless penis pond has multiple accounts but then according to my HIGHLY scientific experiments to enrage the brainless masses, that only accounts for 2.

what are you talking about? No where in my post did I say gemstone players come across to me as uneducated or unintelligent. Matter of fact I think I stated my opinion was the opposite. What I did say is that I believe people(other players) judge them as such based on comments made.

I guess to quantify it... My grammar is horrid, my sentence structure is god awful. I worked my ass off to get an A in composition. Courses such as biology, microbiology, anatomy, and even psychology I didn't even have to take my finals. Can't tell you how many times I've had my intelligence questioned based on my the fact I have a complete homonym dysfunction. I think these snap judgements are found all over the internet and I think my point was more to the fact that Gemstone draws a player base of fairly high intelligence individuals that isn't always recognized.
