Oh the humanity. Woe is us, when Olympic athletes in the much adored sport of badminton attempt to throw matches. Deliberately serving wide or into the net, warned repeatedly by judges, and now 8 of them may be expelled from the games! The drama!

I don't understand how this round Robin thing works or why it is used. Why not just have single elimination rounds or whatever they're called? You lose one match you're out of the running, you win you move on to another match against someone who won.

Haven't they been doing round robbin in the major team sports for a while? I'm surprised they did this, even in badminton. Plus, I'm surprised they didn't make more of an effort to conceal what they were doing. They need to go watch some soccer games to learn how to fake injury better etc.
