Does 204 do more than just what KP says?


The Unpresence spell both helps the target remain in hiding and avoid detection via the Locate Person (116) spell and other spells or abilities that allow detection of characters.

Characters with Unpresence active can not be detected with the Presence (402) spell.


I've heard people talking about it keeping Grimswarm from swarming too heavily, heard about it keeping Ithzir from fading on you, and just about everything except waxing your floors. Is there more to it than what KP shows? Because if it keeps Ithzir from fading, it's going into my spellups posthaste.

never kept grim from swarming bad on my bard, and ithzir still faded from me. but maybe im broke.. who knows

Kinda what I figured, but it was worth asking the question in case I was missing something.

be nice if it did work for ithzir like that.. that fading can get really annoying

What it does help with is the ambush attacks. If you wear 204 in OTF you'll have less scouts ambush you from hiding.

In addition if you wear 204 into the bowels, and stay to the upper portion of the bowels you'll have nothing but the Earth Elementals and the Krynches, you don't wear 204 you'll get Jarl's and Elders up there.

I'm only assuming 204 would also help limit the executioner ambushes in OTF as well.

I seem to remember a GM posting that 204 gives a bonus to hide checks.
