Uncommon Rune Raffle

It was announced on LNET today that there should be an uncommon summoning rune raffle this weekend at Silverwood Manor. The raffle is suppose to draw on Sunday at ~6pm EST I wish you all good luck on the raffle.

If you picked certain archetypes, they had teach restrictions.

Let me reiterate my stance that this method of uncommon runestone distribution is all sorts of wrong. I commend Inurtia for getting this added to this weekends festivities, she works very hard and is a huge asset to the Community, and I'm very much looking forward to the DE events. That being said, to have to win a raffle to practice the craft of demonology (and then restricting said win by not being able to fully teach) is not only apathetic, but incredibly lazy.

I find it amusing how people will write this off as regular Sorc QQ, but if you think about all the shit that we've been promised that never happens or gets brushed off, it becomes a valid argument. How many times did Strath say that we'll have multiple opportunities for custom nightmares? How many times has that happened aside from the initial event? How many times has he said they're going to try to distribute more runestones? They should change from them "uncommon" runestones to "damn near impossible" runestones.

Would it be so hard to tie uncommon stones into guild work/rewards? Would it be so hard for an NPC to come around and do a small RP type event where ACTIVE participants can research and gain knowledge of stones? It's not 1999 anymore, there aren't a whole lot of sorcerers left (gee, I wonder why?), limiting runestones and subsequently runestone teaches is very disappointing indeed.

Weekends are difficult for me to make, if I should happen to make the raffle I will be willing to teach the rune as well, although I will likely have to leave after the raffle so I'll have to catch up with people during the week if that's the case.

On the immediate horizon, the Dark Lord Stralan (self-appointed) has already been compelled to prepare a reluctant lecture on the dark arts, a lecture that will conclude with an uncommon demonic rune lesson or two to sorcerers that show a knack for his brand darkness.

Despite my love of this spell, and knowing a LOT of people who had runes, I've never gotten one. Aishans are my very demons, and Abyran is one of the most useful subtypes for netting an Abyran'sa. I will certainly try to attend that!

usually if a CHE is involved and giving a lecture like this it's a PC, so I'll go with that. Plus he's listed on Krakii as knowing runes. Maybe he just returned/was bought?

there will be a premie raffle on 8/25 at 3 pm. FOUR WINNERS

Ledirth will be offering rune lessons to four sorcerers. Winners, as selected by raffle, will have their choice of any demon specific archetype rune. The initial entry will be restricted to sorcerers capable of casting the Minor Summoning spell. If this does not produce enough entrants, then the remainder will be distributed to any other sorcerers present by random lot.

It is highly suggested that winners be around at the time of the drawing, as Ledirth is likely to be very displeased if he has to wait long or go tracking people down later.

Individuals who learned a rune from Ledirth earlier this year are ineligible to win in this drawing.

Now the question is, what would I pick if I won? After all this time . . . I would be torn between anything from Shien'tyr or an Abyran'sa. Its a shame that two of my favorite demons don't carry silvers.
