Bless magic metal from scroll?

Is it possible to bless a magic metal weapon from a scroll? And if so, how many arcane symbols ranks are required?

Unless you have the 40 ranks in cleric base spells then you cannot bless magical metals with the spell.

Too bad. I was hoping there would be a way around it, like 80 ranks in AS counts as 40 Cleric ranks for the purpose of blessing from a scroll or something. Ah well.
