I am a monk using unarmed combat.
Do I need to use a blessed brawling weapon (that works with the unarmed attack system)
or do I need to be in Voln to kill undead?
I tried jab, punch, grapple and kick on a skeleton but my attack had no effect.

You can have your hand wraps or whatever blessed and you can go ape shit.

Being in Voln means at step 8 you can skip having your gear blessed so it's not a necessity but it's nice.

You will need blessed gloves and boots unless you're at least rank 8 in Voln. If you want to have bonuses to your attack, however, your enchanted gloves and boots will also need to be blessed.

And just to be clear since it confused me at first, even with Voln step 8 any held UCS weapons will also need to be blessed or they will hinder your attack. Your gloves/boots if not blessed will not hinder your attack but won't provide bonuses/flares at step 8. Bit of a letdown, I was hoping for more of a permabless effect for the boots/gloves so that say ebladed gear would work.
