View Full Version : Can't Find Lich

I am having an issue with the updater. It says it can't update infomon because my version of lich is too old.
When updater tries to find lich.re or lich.rbw it says it cannot find lich.

When I go to the lich project website it says to extract (really, extract not just double click) the files but it does not state where to extract the files to.

Questions:
1) What directory should Ruby and Lich be extracted to?
2) How can I be using lich for 2 months but updated cannot find lich? (I guess the follow up question is where is updater looking for my lich files?).

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If your infomon is too old, exit the game, close all ruby processes, and log back in with lich. Worked for me when I got the "infomon too old" thing.

Actually Lich is too old not infomon.
My version is dated May 2012. It has never been updated since I installed it.
Updater says it can't update Lich because it can't find Lich.RB or Lich.RBW.

I tried logging out of Lich and logging back in. That did not work.
I rebooted my system a couple of times as well.
I'm not sure how to close all ruby processes.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Type this in game:

;e respond $PROGRAM_NAME

It should say "lich.rbw", but instead it probably says lich-4.3.10.rbw or something like that.

Ok, I typed ;e respond $PROGRAM_NAME in the game. This was the response:

---Lich: exec1 active.
---Lich: exec1 has exited.

Weird. That would happen if you had any sort of typo. At any rate, just find the .rbw file you're using to start lich, and rename it to lich.rbw.

I will try that. Thanks.
