Today is the big day. Romney will speak to the NAACP and ask them to endorse his candidacy.

We don't know for sure what he will say, but this behind-the-scenes video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duflrDyp9ok) of his preparation session could give us a hint. :)

What was his reason for speaking to the NAACP? No way he was dumb enough to look for votes.

I don't know but apparently he got booed pretty hard when he mentioned wanting to repeal Obamacare.

That's like Obama looking for votes in a Klan meeting.

Classic uncomfortable Romney moment - 5 stars!

That's probably what he was hoping for. It's unpleasant to be booed, but if you're booed by the right people, then you can brag about it later.

He should have said he was going to repeal the affordable care act, so few people know that's the real name of it that people might not have even noticed it.

Sad but true, they probably would have applauded.

I think he should stick to courting rich white men and their corporations.

There aren't many of those left after Obama courted most of them. :(

Looks like someone else has the same idea.

From Android's link above.

And the Democratic National Committee (http://www.csmonitor.com/tags/topic/Democratic+National+Committee)
quickly seized on the moment, sending out its own tweet asserting that under Romney’s proposed tax plan 2.2 million African American families would lose their current tax credits for children and earned income.

I don't really give a shit if it's African American families, or smurfs, but I am so fucking against the earned income tax credits (and FFS, there are definitely more than black folks who get it, though I understand since it was the NAACP he was speaking too that the DNC has to make it about race). Can I get some fucking tax credits for not having kids?

Personally, I'd like to think he was actually saying what he wants to do and it wasn't a political move. Wouldn't that be so freaking refreshing to know that the candidates where telling us what they believed and not what they thought we wanted to hear or doing it to get some political gain? I know better though, but for a millisecond I had a glimmer of hope.

Maybe I'll renounce my citizenship and move to the Isle of Man.

Mitt Romney is totally comfortable with black people.

I listened to some of it on NPR it didn't go astonishingly bad or anything. I think it was a defensive strategy against Kayne West. Theres no way he can claim Romney doesn't care about black people now.
