I think that if you have 1 spirit it can. Read that in another thread. Probably less COLers with the recent voln changes so maybe that makes this more valuable...

Yeah, I believe it can. Never happened to me, but it makes you have to be real careful when low on spirit, especially if you don't get a real raise or you bond to a new weapon.

Yeah, they are not alterable at all. Also is an unofficial loresong to them, since they wear on curse it wasn't able to be sung to to see it at all. And spirit death is possible with them, I'd have to deny clerics raising me few times because they don't have chrisms. It is a very low chance for it to happen, but still a pain in the butt.
