Hi guys!

I haven't been around much these days. To some that was great, and others missed me. I missed you too. I still don't anticipate to be around much. Work just consumes my day, which is when I spent the majority of my forum time anyway, and I don't see that getting lighter anytime soon. The job is great and I love it. It was sheer curiosity to see what's been going on lately that prompted me to poke my head in.

I did want to announce that I am indeed pregnant. I'm exactly 8 weeks pregnant so I'm due in February. Obviously it's too soon to know the gender. I didn't want to elaborate in the boobies thread (although I may be persuaded to post in the later months when they'll be bigger... they already are, amazingly enough).

So I'll try to show up once in a while and update. Amazing how things stay exactly the same around here, it just looks a little better UI-wise. :)

Being born on the 1st would be better. Then (s)he would be exactly 6 months off from having the best birthday ever. The 20th is kind of a blah day to be born in any month, IMO.

The due date is currently projected for the 14th of February, so we'll see. :)

May your spawn be born 10 days before the due date and be blessed by the Star of Creativity. And may it never have a birthday party canceled due to snow or the flu.

I'm going to guess the mini-CT is going to be stubborn and stay inside where it's warm for at least an additional two weeks beyond the projected due date.

We need to start a birth date/time pool. CT has to send the losers a dab of afterbirth.

I'm going to guess the mini-CT is going to be stubborn and stay inside where it's warm for at least an additional two weeks beyond the projected due date.

You're purposefully going to lose so you can get teh afterbirth to combine with bath salts...

Awww. Nice chubby little baby in there. Glad to hear everything's still great. Did you get any hands and feet ultrasound pics? Baby feets are scrumptious.

Heh, yeah I did. Since I'm considered high risk (cause I'm old), I had ultrasounds every month so I've got lots of shots of her. This one is just the best of them all.

The pure bliss wears off soon and they become assholes again as they get older. My oldest is 12 1/2 now and fucking puberty sucks.

I'm actually surprised it was the 'old-fashioned' ultrasound pic cause these days they have fanschy new ultrasounds where you can basically see the child's pores standing out.

Those 3D ultrasounds are creepy. Whenever a friend sends one to me and asks, "Doesn't s/he look just like me/her daddy/some obscure relative," I'm always internally like, "No, it looks like a fucking alien. Never send one of those to me ever again." The regular ultrasounds, by contrast, look totally normal.

They are terrifying. A relative of mine actually gave me a framed 8x10 of her creepy 3D alien fetus. Wut? I threw that sucker in the back of a closet.

It was really odd. It wasn't even a close relative, it was some random cousin.

Last year one of my girlfriends was expecting her first child and her bat shit crazy sister in law was in charge of her baby shower. She sent out invitations that included a set of 4 refrigerator magnets of her ultrasound pics! My poor friend was mortified so naturally the rest of us have given her shit about it ever since.

Aren't those what Divinity freaked out on everyone over after she posted her kid in 3D ultrasound and we said it looked like an alien version of the stay puft marshmallow man (or maybe just I said that)?

Yep. I felt pretty sorry for her. That must have been pretty frightening if that kind of shit gets to you.
Edit: Unless I'm thinking of someone else something similar happened to on here. They got totally freaked when they realised that what was inside them looked terrifying.
