a gornar-banded dark orase staff
The first thing that strikes you about the staff is the weight, which is about 2 pounds.
It has a bonus of +20 from a normal staff, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet.
The harmonics generated tell you that the staff has been infused with the power of an earth elemental. (Vibe flares)

The dark orase staff is capped with an apparatus of two interlocked rings and three triangular segments that come together at a sharp angle. The springs appear to be in a flawless and undamaged state. The tip is currently empty, revealing a deep recess in the center of the staff.

You pull out the retaining pins on the segmented cap and place the wand in the hollow tip of your staff. Turning a small peg, you close the tip tightly around the wand.
