Worth it or not? I'm considering getting this now that my arm is healing up.

A friend who was showing me around it earlier tonight said it's definitely worth it. I've yet to try it myself since I play Skyrim on the PC.

Just be aware that if you have a capped/near capped character you will not be able to fully develop either the werefolf or vampire perk trees.

Yeah. Pretty much need to restart to take full advantage of it. I'll dive in more once I get power back. Stupid AEP.

It was worth it. How does being capped effect the vampire tree development though? It doesn't use levels for the perks.

Not sure, honestly. I just remember that they (IGN/Devs/etc) stated that you wont be able to max out the abilities if you are already near/capped.

Dawnguard DLC is now available for PC. Sony ver. is delayed due to it not performing well.

About time. Maybe I'll grab it and fire up my Nord for more mayhem. :P

I can't do lesbo vampire sex with Serana.

Other than that it's the bomb diggity.

I completed the dawnguard chain the gf completed the vampire lord chain. Seriously worth the little bit of cash to get it. And we both agreed Serana is hot and should be married to our characters...

Bethesda said they are having difficulties getting Skyguard to work on PS3 and it might not come out for that system.

Hearthfire looks pretty cool. I'm not going to give it its own thread. Game-wise it seemed the most legit and I really liked that build-your-own home featured on Skyrim mods. I think it'll be available for download on the 4th, for the 360 at least. That is all.

Apparently, there is a high likelihood that DLC for Skyrim will never make it to the PS3. They just can't get the game to run worth a crap with the added content.

I haven't even started Dawnguard yet, but I play on PC, so it hasn't been out for very long. It's hard for me to get excited about Hearthfire, because it doesn't seem to add very much that hasn't already been done by the modding community. Might be fun if I decide to start a new character or something.

Eh, yeah. It seems unhacked-console-wise what would be the best Barbie accessory to fit into the game whose doppelganger I'd already seen from the weekly mod reviews. Going to DL it for a new character.

Dawnguard was okay. Some of the areas were great (Forgotten Vale), others weren't (Soul Cairn), and I wasn't a big fan of putting Radiant AI in charge of the sidequests.

Hearthfire... might be ok. I've already got the build-your-own home mod, it'll be interesting to see how Bethesda differentiates their version to get people to pay money for it. The adoption aspect is a little creepy.

I'd have liked Dawnguard much better without the radiant sidequests. Not bad, not great.

Which side do you recommend checking out first for Dawnguard stuff? Vampire or Vampire Hunters? I'm usually the sneaky type, if that matters for the quest lines.

I wanted the crossbow, so I ran Vampire Hunters. I still haven't run Vampire, but my understanding is you can't hide well as one while flying.

I think it's pretty awesome when a game releases mod tools so the community can play around with them and make their own awesome content. I was pretty disappointed when Dice decided not to release them for BF3. A zombie mod with that engine would be badass.

I've heard vampire side is more interesting, though I can't attest to that myself as I've only done the Dawnguard side. They both pretty much do the same missions just with different voice acting.
